I agree that we at times go too conservative and it costs us.... I'm just not sure that is CMB.
A few weeks ago I was listening to some in depth discussion of coordinators, HC's and the relationship between
them. The conclusion from several people who have played the game at a very high level, and some coaches was that
the coordinators will ALWAYS be to some degree a direct reflection of the HC's "vision". In short, there is no
coordinator problem that rests solely on their shoulders and that every single DC/OC does what they do within the confines of an overall structure and attitude put in place by the HC. Basically that there was no such thing as a HC
that completely turns over the offense or defense to this or that guy. There is just too much at stake for that
to ever happen and that DC's and OC's would call different games depending on who they worked for....
For whatever that info is worth....
