Survey

Survey was created by Buc
Since posting the thread . . . . From Buc To You . . . . ran a simple survey to see just who and how many posters come to this board. Also, looked at the total number of "hits" on the different threads. No doubt, folks read what is here, "hits" or "chirps" not coming from the board members.

Can go back several years, most of what I hear about posting is this . . . . It will pick up when the season starts. That says to me that many are "fair weather posters". Some have said that they have to work and can't be as active as Buc is. Understandable.

On one hand . . . . five fingers . . . . that is the number of posters that come to this site regularly with something to say about THE UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA FOOTBALL TEAM.

Doubt what I said above? Check the posters in the top seven threads listed today 5/28/14 and the highest number of "different posters" in any of the seven threads is 12. The seven threads have a total of 5.57 posters, repeatedly.

Dawg With Style mentioned something along the same lines less than a couple of weeks back. He was "spot on" about those participating.

If I find something that I think has merit, will post here. For me, sometimes recruiting and "other" football things relating to UGA Football have a lot to do with where we are and what we want to accomplish.

Said it before, say it again, and again . . . . more to UGA Football than Saturday afternoons in Sanford Stadium.

Who knows, maybe we kick ass in 2014, then all boards will light up.

One little thing that has drawn little attention . . . . There was much concern about about the #1 High School Player in Georgia, after he landed in Athens, have not heard a damn word.

Yes, there is a difference in the way Alabama football fans react to their football teams than Georgia fans. If that pisses anyone off, makes no difference, you seldom defend your site and football team like those on the other side of the Chattahoochee do. FACT.

:) Have a nice evening.

Buc not at all surprised at the numbers. What I look at does a poster only show up

When something goes bad or wrong with our football program and then vents

As noted there are no major professional sport teams in the state of Alabama

Having spent three years working Tuscaloosa and the Birmingham area this is when the

Iron Bowl was played in Birmingham to say the fans to the west of us our different

Not saying better just different in their approach to college football

Bet you that RC and Moon pie. If we have a player busted tonight the board will light up

In the morning

Go Dawgs

Go Dawgs!

yd1, getting late, have been watching C-Span hearings on the VA. Whole bunch connected with the VA in Washington, D.C. need to have their butts canned. After 11 p.m. and the congressmen and women still there . . . . has to be a record for an entire committee. Getting close to re-election, small wonder.

Will have a few things to say tomorrow in this thread about UGA football.

Appears there has been a "survey" of coaches at the SEC meetings in Destin.

Think the biggest issue confronting the SEC is other conferences moving their signing deadline up. Has the potential to change a lot of things where recruiting is concerned.

If the ACC and others move the signing period up, I believe it forces the SEC to do the same.

An example of what might happen, if the above happens. FSU is on a roll, if the ACC signing period moves back (earlier date), the Seminoles will kick our butts in South Georgia and many parts of Florida. Much of that comes from winning football games and a National Championship. JMO.

Also see where adding another coach to the roster is being discussed. Think Mark Richt made the statement that an extra coach would allow UGA to have a Special Teams Coach. Wow! Takes some longer than others to see the entire picture.

Buc, what you don't seem to realize is that the only group where it is mandatory that UGA football be more than just Saturday afternoons is UGA---the players, the coaches, admin, etc. For a lot of fans, UGA football is from August to January. I don't see anything wrong with that as you seem to.
I don't care to discuss recruiting that much because as we know, many recruits don't pan out and some do that aren't expected to. Talking about recruits before they've hit the field is pure conjecture and guessing (and hoping) and some people aren't interested in that.
A lot of people don't care to discuss the coaching changes because we've all been down that road before. "Word coming out of Athens" and "according to our sources" and "what I see in interviews" is almost exactly the same now as it was when grantham took over--that the new collection of defensive coaches is going to change UGA football. "Look what Pruitt has done" seems to be everyone's battle cry, but the same was said about grantham. I have no desire to discuss this or debate it when I have no idea what he's capable of.
Then we hear the players and coaches have a new attitude and spring in their step and they're saying all the right things. We hear that every spring.
So I get it, myself and others don't post enough for your standards. I come to the board and read often, but don't post a lot because either I have nothing to add or I just don't want to. I guess that makes me a fair weather poster in your opinion, but different strokes I guess.

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Sadlerdawg I could not agree you more. When most of the posts say the same thing over & over again: lack of leadership, need for recruiting O linemen, need to up grade special team play, questionable play calling, players getting in trouble off campus or on campus for that matter & the list goes on & on. This board has become vanilla, no interchange of words of war with SEC or other teams we compete with on a regular basis. Not allowed on this web any longer. Must keep it friendly. Stevedawg you do a great job with this site, but those war of words will bring posters out to defend UGA turf. This is a football talk only board & that limits the comments except to post agreement or great post or spot on, take your choose. I been on this board since the beginning & am most likely the oldest in years , 82yrs young. I read often, but post little when it's the same old thing said over & over again. AS always, GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Kick some but on the field of play!!!!!!!!
