As I have posted before would not exchange our problems for any other teams

Starting this year with the new playoff system lets see if Bama returns to the NC

Much traffic here about changes. The Dawgs are not the only ones facing changes

CMB. Is the least of our problems

Go Dawgs

For some, old habits are hard to break. Never hurts to look at any situation with a thing called "perspective". Lots of feelings on Mike Bobo, have had them myself, often. Not going to put my head in the sand and say I don't see positive actions on Bobo's behalf.

Would I go along with a new head coach, damn sure would. Ain't gonna happen. Richt's value to UGA is not for me to decide. Have expressed my feelings about the head coach and the "Group" that will keep him in Athens for as long as he wants to remain there.

Mark Richt made a statement this week about how well the coaching staff seems to be getting along with each other. Only took Richt damn near 14 years to get that "portion" right.

Article below covers some of the information that has been presented in this thread. Goes on to add some reasoning to the outcomes.

My way of thinking, UGA was better equipped at the beginning of 2013 than the end of the season. Every team has injuries, but when a team plays a top ten talent, there is a difference.

ogredawg wrote: wellllll Bama has beaten TWICE as many top 10 teams as us.....LSwho FOUR times as many as us and the old ball sack THREE times as many.....how is that misleading.....look at the top 25 stat is that misleading also?

5-11 and 2-9 is not "growing" it is shrinking......over THREE years.......not a very good stat when 2 of the top 5 teams have THREE NC's and the Coaches of the top 3 teams have 6 combined NC's to our ZERO NC's

As for Bama being 4-4 I will take 4-4 and 2 NC's any day of the week.....

Just don't see how TWO and NINE is a misleading stat..........or FIVE and ELEVEN for that matter.....thought you took off those rose colored glasses......

AM is gone and Bobo ain't that good of an OC

No, I agree 2-9 sucks but the stats point out that even the BEST doesn't have winning records against top 10 teams. It's not like Bama was 11-0....or LSU 10-1....or USC 8-3.

I'm with you that things need to change I'm simply pointing out that that particular stat doesn't do much for me, that's all. Believe me, I know we have problems.

AMEN to your long post above Buc, very well said!

I'd venture to say we all have different views on who to blame more for our losses, offense or defense & both sides have valid points.

Ogredawg mentioned Vandy which was a lackluster performance on both sides (especially on offense, I agree) but I primarily blame the BS targeting call on Ramik Wilson for this loss; As for the the SC road game 2 years ago, no doubt about it, our offense was PITIFUL that night (have tried to put this game out of my memory)!

Lord knows our ST hasn't been a strength in quite some time & the numbers will tell you that while our offense isn't perfect, they have FAR outperformed the other 2 units in recent years. Buc, so glad your brought up our special team return avg. of a paltry 2 ypa...that's just unacceptable at UGA! Also, like you mentioned it puts the offense in a tough spot requiring a LENGTHY drive but it also adversely affects the defense by giving the opponent a short field-UGH!!!

Anyways, no point arguing about it, Mark Richt is the head man so he has to own our bad record against ranked teams under his watch but there is plenty of blame to be shared including position coaches, coordinators, & though I don't like to call them out, often times it's the 18-22 yr. old PLAYERS who cause us to lose, even when the coaching staff did their job.

As they like to say, "the best defense is a good offense" & I subscribe to this theory but I also believe that the opposite is true...do you?

Football is the ultimate TEAM game to me & all 3 units must be strong in order to win the SEC let alone the MNC!

Goose, promise you that Isaiah McKenzie, teammate of Sony Michel will change some of the numbers you mention.

He will scare the spit out of us sometimes, but I look at it like this . . . . No Risk, No Reward. Have mentioned before, the day he committed to UGA put a smile on my face. 5'8" of dynamite. Check the numbers in the scale below, which includes National numbers.

So true your statement on the players. All of us have tried to stay away from pointing fingers at individuals, sometimes . . . . going to happen. Stealing from teammates and the University of Georgia, I have no patience with that BS.

Would be surprised if we don't see Isaiah McKenzie on the field, between the Hedges when Clemson comes to town. Talented young man that often lined up in the backfield with Sony Michel.

I have high hopes that the folks in charge of Special Teams understand that improvement has to be made. Imperative. Another change brought on in my opinion by Pruitt and company locating in Athens.

Must say this. In my opinion, Mark Richt has not been the kind of head coach that has utilized the player and coaching talent in Athens that others such as Nick Saban do.

Have said many times recently, just want Mark Richt to stay out of the way. As Mike Bobo said this week . . . . Jeremy Pruitt is a helluva coach. A lot of praise being shown to Pruitt by many in the coaching ranks, I consider that to be unusual.

Has anyone actually said our offense was a bigger problem than our D?

Point me to those posts, and I'll be the first to argue against that point but I don't recall anyone saying that.

God Bless and Go Dawgs
