Other board members that have been all over the offensive line for some time are averagedawg and wlayton.
Several years back averagedawg and myself were on board with Stacy Searels. averagedawg knew more about Searels than myself. Will always remember once he was on campus how our head coach seemed to let Stacy just fade away. Getting big names at running back and quarterback and of course wide receiver. Like it or not, Mark Richt dropped the ball, and has not come close to righting the offensive line since. Now I hear grumblings about Will Friend, same damn thing has happened to Friend.
We had defense under Erk. We had defense under VanGorder. Outside of that when we look closely, not a lot to talk about in terms of "defensive coaches". Especially Defensive Coordinators.
That too falls on the plate of Mark Richt. He has been the leader of the offense, when we consider that statement, check offense and defense and see what it is we come up with. Truthfully, Richt has not understood "continuity". That is as close to the truth as I can get.
Maybe he has loosened the "strap" that has proven to be his downfall (in my opinion). Head strong at some point will cost you. Head coach has come close a couple of times, like Houdini he has a way of getting out of things.
Appears to me, and I have said this more than once on this board, might be Richt has conceded that he is not all that. Younger folks coming up, some of those youngsters are like Pruitt and his group. They will move forward for several reasons, and I will use averagedawg's suggestion . . . . Mark Richt time for you to get off of your lazy butt and return to the football field on a mission, that is what Pruitt and his group are doing right now, 2014. Join the club. You don't have to copycat anyone, that is unless the game has passed you by. Remember this, McGarity said you need only to ask. While I have some doubts about that statement, might want to reinvent yourself.
There is a lot of "chatter" surrounding the 2014 UGA Football Team. You do some of the knuckle headed things you have done in the past, might be you lose all of your Houdini powers.
