Good article Buc, thanks.

Think it was a couple of years back wlayton. You listed 3 or 4 coaches in D1 football that you liked, (Richt was on the hot seat) Pinkel was one of those. You said it again . . . . :) You were dead on then and now, Gary Pinkel is about college football. :)

Calling it like it is . . . . 2014 we get a good look at what we have, top to bottom.

Couldn't agree more Buc.....just simply put the BEST players on the field, if they'll do that, I can live with the results.

oh, and also agree with you on Herrera.

ogredawg, both of us know that football has changed, especially for old folks like us (me). Was a time when we could say looking forward to next week, has become increasingly hard for me to do that.

ogredawg, trying really hard to keep it between the "lines", but . . . .

Probably should not say this but . . . . Not sure that Damian Swann is going to start this season. I would like to say he is all that, but in my heart, do not believe that. Try hard not to single players out, but if I do that, I am staying true to what I think I see.

You said prior to last season that Reggie Carter should be in the lineup at linebacker. I buy into that, think that he has enough speed to play the "star" or whatever they want to call it. He has the speed to cover "under". Think I read somewhere that Ramik Wilson might have to sit for some plays. Don't have a problem with that, just believe that Herrera is the one that needs to sit in some situations. If I see that under Pruitt, will be handing out some high fives. Herrera cannot cover. I said that. :)

wlayton, truthfully believe that the one thing that Jeremy Pruitt has said that reosnates with the players is . . . . lose some of the "stuff" and put some serious "muscle" from now until the Clemson Game.

Have not heard that kind of "coach speak" from anyone on our staff . . . . prior to Jeremy Pruitt and the Alabama Gang arriving.

Sometimes as has been said before . . . . how do we get the players attention . . . . ready for this . . . . Hire a "real football coach".

Still believe that we will have four or five on the defensive front or two or three yards off. Gives the new Clemson and South Carolina quarterback something to "look at".

Richt, if we win, take all of the applause, just leave the coaching to those that coach. Also said that. :)

Pruitt told his players they could play the position there playing or try a new one but everybody was additioning for a starting job.

I think these players will be ready to lay it own the line for CJP we've been missing that.

How Bout them Dawgs!!!!!!!

This week always surprises in the NCCA Tourney. A great stage for under achievers

Coach'm up lose and go home. GP will have his team ready when we visit Columbia no question

Go Dawgs

yankeedawg1, going to try my hardest to watch the Clemson game in person. Hard for me to do sometimes, but even at my age . . . . still have "options". :)

I hope that you understand that an earlier comment that I made "included you". We may not always agree, but you always have an opinion. "Is that not what it is all about"? Me thinks so. Really wish we could get some traffic moving on this board . . . . reason? Several are very good at discussing UGA Football, sometimes I (Buc) don't think "they" understand just how good they are on this board. Yep, said that too.

Truthfully, hoping that after the Spring Game those that are members speak up. It is not about the "stuff" that fills the comment sections elsewhere. Many times I see some that come up and say . . . . "Steve you have a great board". While Steve might be "full of himself" :) . . . . he has a lot of patience putting up with folks like me and some others. He has kept this board open for "many years".

Back to brass tacks . . . . We could be a "special team in 2014", but there are some hurdles. Damn football has funny bounces.

Mark Richt, leave the coaches alone. That is not an ugly statement, it is a statement coming from an "old fart" that has seen much more than you have. Step back, watch the young (pups) coaches do their "thing". You have had your day, allow Mike Bobo, Jeremy Pruitt and both of their supporters to do their "thing". That is not a shot at you . . . . unless you don't understand what is being said.

ogredawg, takes me back to this for my final statement . . . . You said it, I believe it, Reggie Carter is "all that". There are others, but Jeremy Pruitt and the "Alabama Gang" will put Reggie Carter in "motion". averagedawg, you know. :)

Next day or two, should be a lot to discuss after the "Pups" find their way to the field.

Coach'em Up! . . . . :)

DWS, it would surprise me if Pruitt did not hold true to what you mentioned above. I believe that some feelings are going to get bruised, but . . . . the time has come. From where I sit. :)
