I'm with you ogre--prove me wrong.
I just wonder if in the heat of the game TR even realized what Fairley had done? For example, this past season my daughter had a great and legal tackle (soccer) on a girl in the thanksgiving tournament here in Atlanta. I was so excited that she did it with perfect form I jumped up and cheered--not realizing the other girl was hurt.
I felt like a heel, but from the angle I had, I ddin't notice it right away.
You remember Bill Goldberg at UGA? Look up what Dooley had to say about him........would be considered a dirty player today.
Some of those Thomas Davis hits could be seen as dirty.
Because a player gets overly aggresive does not mean they are being taught to hurt.
Besides, I bet if we look up SEC team personal fouls during CMR's tenbure, we are in the top third. Is CMR dirty??? Not a chance.
But it is football, not Curling and if you can't play right up to that fine line between fair and dirty, you will get beat. It's a game for warriors, not members of the school "book club"
