Floyd and Drew coming into thier own on the D side of the ball. Look for bigger and better things from them next year.

The "Q" man. Swing pass shadow of our goalposts for a first down against the chickens must have been in somebody's doghouse off the radar

Roaring. Back in 2014 ?

Buc wrote: Interesting thread Wartdawg. You have me thinking, but for openers I have noticed so far the offensive side of the ball is being mentioned.

Chris Wilson and the defensive line was mentioned, and I agree with that.

The single biggest positive I see coming next year is the talent that will line up on the defensive side of the ball. At this point, guess we lose Garrison Smith, and that will be a loss. There is however strong leadership that will step up in 2014. Will leave it at that.

EDIT: If you have not seen this, has a little something to say about offensive possibilities in 2014.

I started at the most obvious, but I didn't want to list every positive I could think of and not leave room for much to add. Youth on D getting a lot of PT is definitely a positive. Some individual players on that side need
some props.

God Bless and Go Dawgs

Wartdawg, just going along with what you posted. Mentioning there is more. There is more, and if we can come together, there are many positive pieces to the puzzle, the puzzle however needs for our defensive group to match up with what looks like a very formidable group on the other side of the ball. Not sure about the offensive line, but did like the fact that Kublanow got his licks in this season.

Would compare Kublanow to the comment many are making about Hutson Mason. Glad he got some playing time. Lots and lots of talent in Athens, on both sides of the ball.

I feel like we had more players coaching players than coaches coaching this year, and stepping up to the plate when they had to. I'm really proud of these youngsters for not caving when they had every opportunity to and sticking together. I've had to think about some of the things that were said in the media and how I would have felt if it were me they were talking about. As far as I can tell we've got a core group of really tough skinned players, and for me its hard to pinpoint anyone in particular with the exception of one, Todd Gurley. He emulates "Team Player" in the vain of Aaron Murray, I'm sure happy he's back with us next year. One more that Averagedawg mentioned,Marshall Morgan, he could have easily threw in the towel, but did'nt,he got stronger thru the adversity, thats leadership. He needed his butt kicked for making a silly mistake. He did'nt bitch and moan about it, he just learned a lesson and fixed it. My hats off to you Marshall!

Will say this team has shown heart, never quits.

Floyd will be one of the best pass rushers in the nation next year.

D line has been the only good thing on our defense.

From what I've seen on mason he will be fine leading our dawgs next season, however I hope our coaches will open the competition up. Don't need another Cox getting the start just bc he was there.

Our tailbacks, not just TG and Keith. Talking about Douglas and Greene, are beats.

And as wlayton said Marshall Morgan. I honestly couldn't believe how much improvement he has shown from last year to this year.

Really see alot of things to be excited for next season, but then I remember who is leading this team and hold my breath.
