Seriously you two? You would rather sit on here and argue over the use of a word instead of the content provided? It amazes me that you two can be so offended by a single word. I think it's time for both of you to grow a pair.
It offends me that you think its ok to think that someone feels that way if they disagree with an opinion. Thats all I intend to say about it, Thank You.......
We are all criticing a sport.....never should we attack a person's character etc.....you/we don't even know the person and even if I did, what right do I have to attack them.
Simply keep the conversation about the situation, there's no basis for personal slants.
I think it's also that the phrase "hating on" implies that there is no logic to the negative opinion, and
claiming there is no basis for an opinion someone has can make them defensive.
Sometimes though that is not the intent of the person using the phrase.
