I am stuck in East Alabama, surrounded by Tide and Tiger fans and you know what I have NEVER HEARD one of them say "oh we can still win the west".
Alabama goes into every season and every game thinking they can win the NC. They don't even mention winning the SEC they want the whole thing. I know some people that have friends that play and have played for Bama and they say that is exactly how the coaches and team thinks as well.
The goal should be the NC and then the east and sec championships will be there. Not lets win the east and see what happens after that.
For me the goal was never to win the east. Thought this would be the year for the title. So close last year. Thought it would transition into this year. Hasn't.
Salderdawg, injuries didn't play a huge role today, the fumble Douglas had hurt, but we had a chance to come back. Agreed injuries had no part in this game. Defense is pretty healthy still can't play defense.
Buc, Agreed as well. Our d was dominated, our offensive line was dominated. Knew Missouri had a good pass rush, said it earlier, but I thought our offensive line knew that too and would buy Murray time, did it some but not enough.
Hope we can bounce back. The last thing I want to see is the Steve crybaby spurrier play in the sec championship game.
I seriously can't believe how bad our defense is.
Being young doesn't prevent you from knowing how to tackle. Being young doesn't prevent you from knowing that if your a deep safety you play freaking deep. Trick play or not.
Orgedawg said can't play man bc of confusion. I agree.
Would like to add on to that, we can't play zone either because of guess what? Confusion.
This loss falls straight on the defense and offensive line. TG if this loss doesn't show you that our defense is confused, can't play their fundamentals then do us all a favor and get the eff out of Athens.
Or you can stay like wille attempted too and get run out.
