I guess most have seen the article around where Richt told the media that Spurrier advised him against taking the UGA
job... Spurrier's obsessive hatred of UGA is so strong that it's almost comical.

I have to agree. SS just stood there shaking his head with minutes left in the game. There was NO sense of urgency or effort, no calling of timeouts - just resignation. They handed the ball over at the 1 yard line and never touched it again, from the 8 minute mark, and all that SOB did was just stand there and shake his head. It's absolutely UNMISTAKABLE, and I am going to just keep watching it over and over again for the next YEAR.

Wartdawg, the link below probably probably explains why Spurrier dislikes Georgia so much. Too bad that many today did not get to see Bill Stanfill play, along with Jake Scott and others. Erk loved that bunch, and they played like a bunch of "Junkyard Dawgs". Good history read.

thriller, Georgia neutralized Clowney, SS saw it early on, could see it coming down the "tracks" . . . .

Something to be said for keeping a coaching staff together. Seems SS has a tough time keeping defensive coordinators. ??

Vanderbilt is not a pushover. South Carolina coming off of a physical loss to Georgia, would not count my chickens before they hatch.

You're right, Vandy ain't so dandy anymore. However, something tells me the 'Cocks are going to destroy them. I think everyone has a little pride (SS sure has more than a normal share), and those are some wounded chickens right now. South Carolina is a pretty good team, in spite of the result from this past weekend. I expect Carolina will be fired up.

Either that, or they are just a bunch of quitters - and that wouldn't shock me. Seems like every time they beat us, we win the division. Every time we beat them it totals their season. And I love that.

Really did not know where to put this. Guess here is as good as . . . .

Back in the Spring ogredawg said that a player to watch was Reginald (Reggie) Carter. Many times ogredawg gets closer to what will happen than some of the talking heads and others that post without thinking.

Not going to be surprised to see Reggie play a lot of football, beginning soon. He did have that knee problem, appears that he does not have swelling and "fraidy cat" symptoms as a result of his high school injury. Not going to surprise me if he ends up taking most of the snaps, or as many as Ramik. That is not a bad thing, actually, makes us a better team. Don't believe that Grantham or Olivadotti will put up with ego problems.

Sorry, Garner is gone, game plans change, we don't play favorites in Athens any more, not that I am aware of. System seems to be . . . . you earn playing time on the "practice days".

ogredawg, I believe you are close on this call. If I made a bad call, sorry, thought you had mentioned this on the board. Young puppy has a good attitude. Also, good student, like that a lot.

Have not given up on Ramik Wilson, not even close, like the fact that Olivadotti knows that he "can play", come LSU time, big bad a$$ linemen along with Copeland are going to try and impose their will on us. Three man front or disguised that way, inside line backers have to be willing to get bruised against LSU. Say it again, believe we beat LSU between the Hedges, Georgia is going to be a "handfull" for everyone down the line.

Ramik was the leading tackler against Clemson. Against South Carolina . . . . damn I hate to say this . . . . Ramik did not look like a starter. If Ramik is lost, the rest of the defense is in what I would call a vulnerable position. Ramik has been on campus, practicing, time for him to show his wares. Folks, my opinion. Love the kid, but this is not "high school".

Last season, too many on our defense took time off. If Mark Richt puts up with that, never know where "choice words" will come from. Guess that falls on Todd Grantham, not Mark Richt. Yes, I understand Richt is the Head Coach.

Garner is gone, game plans change, we don't play favorites in Athens any more, not that I am aware of. We are now climbing that ladder, system seems to be . . . . you earn playing time on the "practice days". Mark Richt has said that more than one time this season, said it in the Spring and Fall camps.
