You could definitely tell he had fresh legs and their D wanted NO part of him.

wlayton, it was getting to the point in the game that I started to relax, even prior to Brendan coming in, could see that there were some of the bad guys that did not like "playing football" against Gurley.

The comment made by Wartdawg on SS, agree with. Spurrier had a bad taste in his mouth when Langley flipped. Spurrier knew where Langley was, made sense to "check him out", good football as WD said. Agree with thriller on your x's and o's talk Wartdawg, good stuff Brother.

thriller you said that Marshall was going to line up and play hard nosed this season. He is doing just that. Time for Marshall and others to heal, boys from the Bayou are coming, another game that is for men only.

Gurley is hiding his aches, should be ready for LSU. Probably see JJ and Brendan along with others against North Texas.

Trying hard not to say too much about Quayvon Hicks, did enough of that sometime back.

Again, biggest concern I have at this point is the 3 man front, especially with Mettenberger settling in at quarterback. Appears that Les Miles has taken the bit out of Mett's mouth.

Another scary thing . . . . John Chavis is one heck of a defensive coach. Another Tennessee mistake. Check out the link below on John Chavis . . . . wow!!

Buc, said in another post that not only did USC players quit at the end of the game, so did SOS. There was over 2 minutes left on the clock and he still had 2 TO's left. He just let the clock run.....quit.....had enough.....DONE.

Really liked what I saw watching Turman on tape....saw a little of Gurley and Marshall in him. Let him put on another 20-25 lbs and he will step in when Gurshall leaves (believe will get a lot of playing time next year if not this year....did they redshirt him yet?)'

RB situation is starting to look a lot like BAMA the last 4-5 years...."overlap and reload".

wlayton to my knowledge Turman is not wearing the redshirt. Thinking along the same lines that I think you are. With the group that we have now, AJ would be a great running back to sit one year.

Of course the 2014 group of running backs is awesome. Like this statement you made . . . . a lot.

RB situation is starting to look a lot like BAMA the last 4-5 years...."overlap and reload".

Any comparision that can be made to Nick Saban/Alabama football and we are a part of the comparison . . . . what is not to like. wlayton, in my mind, another step up that ladder. Truly believe that Richt has finally gotten it down . . . . depth. Believe that Chris Wilson and Will Friend are going to make all of us proud. Neither coach believes in playing second fiddle.

Little bit of a update. Miami is really working hard to get Sony Michel to change his mind. Cannot blame UM, they know that Sony is one heck of a back. Don't believe he will change his mind, he is not afraid of competition. Just a really good young man and great football player. Sony Michel and Nick Chubb with the returning group, sure makes this old man want to hang on for a while.

With the running back position in great shape, appears to me that the folks recruiting for Georgia can look for some serious help along the offensive and defensive fronts. Great position to be in.

Mason will take the starting job next season, giving our incoming quarterbacks time to "settle" into the business of learning the playbook. Looking pretty good from where I am sitting. Know this, lot of chatter about coaching, have seen a lot worse in the last 20 or so years. Just keep stacking those building blocks . . . .

Will never forget the "giving up" from "some" in Columbia last season, reminded me so much of a game of "give up" that we played against Tennessee. Don't like it.

Spurrier might have to get used to this group of "upstarts" from the University of Georgia, seem to have a group of coaches that are putting the pieces of the puzzle together. Allow me this, must say this . . . . It is about damn time. That's all.

I'm with you Buc.

Gotta believe after last Sat some "quiet" decisions were made by many of the recruits on that sideline. Truly believe the Dawgs are stockpiling talent and making up ground on BAMA. That being said, I'm looking forward to the BAMA/TAM game Sat, Bama didn't look great in their 1st game.....kinda hurts when 3 of your OL are starting in the NFL.....it showed too, VT was in their backfield most of the day.....will be an interesting game. Have to believe Saban will have them hungry and ready, especially with 2 weeks to prepare. Will be fun to watch...

Seeing SS and his cocks resigned to the fact that the game was lost with over 2 minutes left was a thing of beauty.

I guess most have seen the article around where Richt told the media that Spurrier advised him against taking the UGA
job... Spurrier's obsessive hatred of UGA is so strong that it's almost comical.

God Bless and Go Dawgs
