The most well written, alcohol induced post I've ever read. Cheers to you Thriller!

Saban is the best at mastering the college football numbers game first & foremost...unfortunately he is also a monster at recruiting & coaching staff development. That said, he can & will be beaten & I have zero doubts in that.

Go Coach Richt, time to take your place as a national championship coach that actually did things the right way! Bulldawg Nation is rooting for you more than you'll ever know!

Yeas Saban is beatable. No one is perfect but he comes damn close.

Still laugh at what some were saying about Mullen.

I have always said Mike Gundy would be the perfect fit at UGA. Another one who will have success and I think would be a good fit.......Cliff Kingsbury.....he will do well....but Saban as of right now is in a class by himself and if he wins the Crystal again this year he will not own only Alabama recruiting but Georgia, Florida and beyond.......

Saban is a proven winner in the college ranks Buc. He is able to not only recruit players but recruits very talented coaches. Most of his coaches move on to bigger and better jobs when the time comes and being Saban trained speaks very loud indeed.

Takes me to this, Todd Grantham also studied under Nick Saban. Small wonder, this Saban thing did not start in Tuscaloosa. Worked hard in his field and it certainly paid off.

Good read by Loran Smith below.

thriller must have a good typist or a really good spell check--my alcohol infused posts are much easier to spot with the misspelled words and grammatical errors and such.

But in answer to your question, Buc, yes and no. Saban is the best in college football...right now. History gets this from time to time--one coach who is head and shoulders above the rest until someone or something comes along and changes that. Many probably would have said the urban cryer was that good during the Tebow years.
Saban has earned his spot as one of the nation's best, but something will change that--couple of good recruiting years here, couple of bad bounces there, whatever it may be, and at some point after that he will either leave (like Cryer) or be run out of town (like Bowden).

The SMART era CONTINUES!!!!!!

Saban has mastered collage football no doubt. Is he beatable? Yes, but to be able to beat him you have to match his confidence level.

He has no dead weight in his program ether you preform as a player or coach or you'll find yourself else where. I believe the recruits he signs know this going in and are not afraid of the competition which in it self makes the team better( starting to see this at UGA). Saying that would Saban have kept KH, not a chance.

They are things that he does that are questionable but I think he operates right at the edge of legality. Personally I don't care for some of his tactics but when he's looked back on in history you want see them you'll only see his body of work and he will be considered one of the best college football coaches ever.
