Really like the fact that Rambo is playing with the #1's. Will never forget the Auburn game when he made a game saving hit between the Hedges.
Goes to show that talented Georgia High School football players don't have to go to Tuscaloosa to find their way into the NFL. Like a couple of folks have mentioned in this thread, there are other coaches out there that have the knowledge to aid them in reaching their goals. We have the coaches in Athens, could not say that a short time back with the same confidence that I feel now.
Wheels might come off this season, not totally, but . . . . I believe that the track we are on leads to bigger and better things. True feelings . . . . would love to put a win in the books against South Carolina for one Damn Good Dawg, Duck. I believe that we win that game. I said that too. That is an honest statement on my part.
Have made this statement in another thread. Why should 1 or 2 players beat us. That statement was made discussing Clemson and what they have to offer.
I look at our team, we have two tailbacks (maybe more) that are better than their starter. Davis played the media game and ended up in the "chicken coop".
This group (UGA) along with their coaches will "come to play" . . . . unlike some of the "stuff" that went on last season.
Quayvon Hicks . . . . all of us are going to like this converted defensive lineman to fullback. Merritt Hall, in his mind, ain't giving an inch. When is the last time that any of us could go from position to position, both offensively and defensively and see more than ONE, at best, TWO? Hoping you "feel me" on that statement. These pups will be "Dawgs" quickly.
I picked one player, Quayvon Hicks to try and put a point across. Guarantee every member on this board that there are many folks on this team that are on equal footing with the likes of Quayvon Hicks. Have never seen this much talent in Athens. Coaches around the SEC know what is facing them with an experienced quarterback and talented receivers (multiple) and what can they do about that.
Experienced offensive line, with good backups. Two incredible tailbacks. Two fullbacks. Two tightends. Receivers that could play for any university.
Two questions that I have . . . .
Can our coaching staff stand on the same level as those that they are facing?
Do the opponents that we will face this season have more talent than we do?
Just asking.
