One other thing to add to that last post -

Who do you think is a better man - HONESTLY NOW - Urban Meyer or Jim Tressel?

I say Tressel by a hundred miles. And we know what he did - what he sanctioned - what he was about. I think the public will soon know more about his current successor - what kind of "man" he is.

There comes a time when a coach has to be held to the same standards as those they "supposedly" hold others to, especially when what they are doing versus what they are saying don't hold water.

Bobby Bowden lost his job way before he was officially released by the Athletic Director at FSU. Anyone that watched FSU football, probably not many in Georgia, saw BB walking up and down the sidelines, but he was not in charge. BB made a huge mistake by trying to first off turn the reigns over to family members, secondly letting some of his past catch up with him. There is a lot to that statement, won't go there . . . . . yet.

Bowden was hurt, he wanted to do some things his way, but his way was no longer acceptable at FSU. Yes, Bowden put FSU on the football map, one problem, did not or would not change his coaching style to fit the changes in modern day football. When Mark Richt left FSU, did not take long to see serious problems with Tallahassee football.

Urban Meyer came along at a good time. Steve Spurrier had already laid the ground work for Urban. Now Bowden wants to say he and Urban are good friends, might be, but those in the know understand that was not the case when Urban first arrived in Gainesville. What Bowden is doing now is sympathizing with Meyer because he had been booted and his feelings were hurt. Bowden never got over the comment from Spurrier . . . . "Free Shoes University".

One more thing BB, you were 0-5 against Urban Meyer. That in the State of Florida will cost you or anyone else their job. Ride off into the sunset BB, your coaching days are long past, the game passed you by, as it did the rest of us.

thriller, in a heart beat I will take Tressel over Urban Meyer. If I have a choice as to their coaching practices, both can go to the city dump.

Maybe a link that some have not seen.
