Good read Buc, Thanks I like these early commits sounds like they have their heads screwed on straight also like the talk of wanting to be a part of something instead of it being centered on themselves

DAWGtm, have said it a couple of times, really feel good about Athens and Football these days.

Possibilities are that we could lose some games (yikes) but with any loss I hope that the effort is there.

Looking back over the past few years, did not like the looks of the police blotter, which of course carried over to the media.

With you 100%. Might be wrong, do however think that the margin of difference between some of the 1's and 2's is a silly millimeter. Depth. Love that word. :)

Edit: Allow me this if you will.

Just my thinking, however I do believe that we are going to see young men sign on and keep their word more so than in the past.

Georgia is at the point, or close to the point that we are going to have x number of positions open each year. An example of that in my opinion happened with the signing of Dontavious Russell. There are probably 6 to 10 defensive linemen (a cut above) that are "wanting" to play in the SEC, many of these young men want to latch on with a solid program. My way of thinking is when there are 25 scholarships, they will go quickly.

Don't read me wrong, I am incredibly happy that Dontavious Russell chose UGA. Young man carries a 3.5 or better GPA. Stanford was on the list of folks that offered a scholarship, says a lot about Dontavious and his Mom and Dad, and how they feel about remaining in the State of Georgia.

Sorry for the long winded stuff these days, I just find that there is a lot going on in college football, especially UGA that needs to be discussed.

Afternoon,

Buc, once again you hit the nail on the head.

Since CTG and Mac and others arrived the players we are recruiting WE guys rather than ME guys.

Many felt that we had hit bottom with the IC mess well seems that worked it's way out in our favor

Bring guys to Athens who want to play here and with hard work make it to the next level.

Just a sidebar how last year we heard all spring how our "O" line was in trouble. How JJ took JT as his personal duty to get ready for SEC football.

Have not heard that the "O" is pushing the "D" all around Sanford this spring.

CTG knows he has players who want to play and that more are coming in July/Aug. Might be why he is not looking like a man who is ready to hit the panic button.

IMO we are going to be good to start with and with each game improvement will come. Depth and being able to play several position. Awesome.

Coaches and players know whats under the hood. You can see it in the swagger, good now getting better by the snap. "Go Dawgs"

Go Dawgs!

yankeedawg1, just finished watching Mark Richt on his Tuesday presser. Unheard of. Yes there is change in Athens. This is not the same Mark Richt that I watched not that long ago. The confidence that he is showing in this press conference is remarkable.

OK, here I go. Just a reflection or two from someone that has been around for a while.

Looking back at the years of frustration not only with us, the fans and alumni, the media also. Mark Richt grew two of them. There comes a time in all of our lives that we either "do" or "don't". Mark Richt "did".

I have made little off handed remarks about Richt and his "value" to the Georgia Football Team. At the particular time, feel I was right.

What I now know is Mark Richt was fighting an uphill battle.

There comes a time when all of us have to stop and look at ourselves. Just how much do each of us know about our program. Do we know about "Red Panties", coming from our Athletic Director? Don't care what anyone on this board or any board has to say, the link I am posting now had more to do with the following players showing their "butts" than any one episode. Remember this, it came under our retired President's watch. Good riddance to both.

I post this link for one reason . . . . change was needed in Athens, not sure that the new President is the right move, that is just one man's opinion. Too close to the outgoing enabler, my opinion. I try hard to be "nice" but I call it like I see it.

Ladies Basketball almost made it to the final four. Ladies swim team, champions. Bulldog Baseball, need a coach. UGA Football, have never felt better since a good Irishman took the reigns. Fox needs to get his butt in gear. Stop shouting at the students and win some games. Stay out of the Waffle House with Richt, do what you were hired to do. Richt was on the carpet not long ago, maybe time for Fox to prove that he is "all that".

Summation . . . . Go Dawgs, Coach'em Up! :)

On a lighter note, Steve has the following link posted below. Will post it here. Worth watching.
