Realize that was a foregone conclusion, this just seals the deal. 2013 season will probably be his last. Gives all concerned with running the program a running start for a replacement.
Just thinking out loud . . . . Could it be that bringing Chris Wilson aboard had more meaning than a replacement factor for RG? Wilson has had the title of defensive coordinator prior to UGA, and he is supposed to be a very good recruiter.
That's very interesting POV Buc. Could be getting or proverbial Ducks in a row

Good point about CTG being all but gone. You don't openly [strike]flirt with[/strike] pursue other job opportunities during recruiting season unless it is your intention to leave. Think of it this way - 2013 will either be a good year for CTG or it will not. If it's good, he's gone because he's in demand. If it's not, he may be gone because he CAN be gone.
Back to the original subject - I think building is going on for 2014 and beyond. AM is still here, as are some PRIME weapons, from an offense that did QUITE well last year. I don't see that changing this year. But next year - we're preparing.
Finally - I found out yesterday that one of our sales reps is a Cornhusker (he lives and works out in the midwest). We talked about the bowl game. I told him all of us were pretty disgusted by Georgia's seeming inability to stop that running attack, and that we were on pins and needles for a lot of that game. He laughed and pointed out that anyone watching that game from a neutral point of view would disagree. He said what amazed him about that game was how EASILY Aaron Murray could pick apart one of the best secondaries in football. Every time AM dropped back, he looked cool and collected, even after a couple of early picks. It was interesting to hear from the other side of the field.

From the beginning AM has been steady in his backing of Mike Bobo. Most know that a player normally does not throw rocks at his position coach. AM did not handle it that way, was straight forward and said that what he learned under Bobo meant everything to his rise. Heard some of the same just last year coming from Matt Stafford.
I know that I was one that was heavily on Bobo's case, guess I did not know all that I thought I did. Still sometimes when I look back at some of the old tapes, I believe that I was right. One thing I do know . . . . no way I could coach both of these young men and have them reach the heights that each has.
Have always been a big backer of AM, had the advantage over some because I live in Central Florida. Also have those same feelings about Faton Bauta. TampaDawg posted WOW after watching some tape on Bauta. Kid is smart, tough, great (not good) arm, also loves to tuck the ball and go for yardage. I will certainly want to know why this young man does not get the opportunity to play, if that is the case. Don't think that will happen, Faton is just too good not to play.
Talking about Faton Bauta, reminds me of myself discussing AM when he first came to Athens.
wlayton, with the receivers on our team, one that I really hope comes back strong, Bennett. This offense is going to be ridiculous. Interesting comment that thriller made in his post mentioning football talk with a Nebraska supporter about AM and Orlando.

work as a position coach.
I think you and others did know exactly what you were talking about, and it was 100%
accurate at the time. He just got better in that regard.
