Like Richt, I guess he finally accepted the fact that he HAD to change.
Both of us know that regardless of what was being said on campus for the media guys to feed us, much of the chatter on boards like this one and others found its way back to the coaches.
Something or someone shook our program up enough to make noticeable changes in the football program.
I go back to another incident that happened between Isaiah Crowell and Jarvis Jones. The locker room incident that apparently JJ took charge and said enough is enough.
We also have this . . . .
ATHENS, Ga. -- Georgia football players and coaches spent Tuesday answering questions about this week's game against No. 3 Florida and about some candid comments Bulldogs safety Shawn Williams made following Monday's practice.
"I think Shawn is just a real passionate guy and loves Georgia and loves his team," coach Mark Richt said. "It's more public than you would like, but I don't think he meant any harm by it. I think his teammates know that, so it's really not an issue."
At this point was when Mark Richt put that smile on his face.
Defensive Back saying publicly that UGA has the top defense in the nation. That does not sound like someone who is intimidated by Alabama. Also Mark Richt has not called him on the carpet for that statement leading up to the SEC Championship Game. Either of these two teams need to post comments on the locker room board to get fired up for this game . . . . NOT.
