Party Line Again . . . Not

How about Peterson from Boise State and he could open the checkbook and entice Pease to join him in Athens as his OC again.

Think Gary Patterson is a good coach.

Agree DawgDoc, not easy to find and would have to go after a coach that would like to step up to the big league and embrace it....

Just feels as though the game has passed CMR....love the man but how do you get beat THAT bad with the talent you have......can't understand it.

24-17....21-17 I can handle and understand....35-7 which could have been 42-0 with the NFL talent in Athens?......no excuse in my book.

Would love to have SS or the Tides main man, but that's not going to happen. We haven't had a HC since VD that was worth his salt, and even he was not liked by all on this board. He turned a program that was in horrible shape around and won a bunch of games he probably should have lost. He was a leader wheather you liked him or not. I know Buc I may be stepping on your toes, sorry, sometimes we disagree, buts that's life. Please don't tell me tg, our defenseless defense coach. Not impressed. Would love to here everyones suggestion, no joke.
As always GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!

DawgDoc, whether you know it or not, I along with others are really glad to see you posting again. Know that you have some years on me, but gives me something to shoot for.

Really hard for me to name someone, but if I had my choice, my choice right now . . . . Kirby Smart. He took a look earlier as you and others on this board know, but he made the right decision if we look back and see what has transpired since he said no to his school.

One reason that I would want Kirby is because he has studied under the best, doubt many could or would argue that point.

Another reason is he knows the Southeast like the back of his hand.

Third thing, Saban has not allowed Kirby Smart to stay on his staff just because he is an excellent recruiter, Kirby knows the defensive game and also how to teach it. Learned from the best. That by the way was not VD. :)

Saban had a sit down with Kirby about making lateral moves, and it appears that little talk with Saban may have paid off. Job comes open at UGA, I would have a hissy fit if he was not offered first. I would be all over McGarity's bottom if that call was not made. Time is now right, that is what Saban basically said to Kirby . . . . you make the deal, not anyone else.

Makes all of the sense in the world for Kirby to "return home" . . . . his school needs him in the worst way, right now.

Our best chance of standing tall against Florida, South Carolina and all of the rest could be residing in Tuscaloosa right now, and his name is not Saban.

Just a thought, "old fart". You belong here, one of the folks that made this board what it is. :)

Buc (and AD5)......you are SO right.....my head is elswhere I guess (although I do like Peterson and Patterson).

You are dead on....KS is the answer....learned from the best. The one thing you said that REALLY stuck out to me was....."for Kirby to "return home" . . . . his school needs him in the worst way, right now."

Yes....his school NEEDS him.

Timing is now...after BAMA wins the NC again this year KS will be ready to make a move. Strike this year.

Best thing I've heard in a long while.

wlayton, you have been one of the biggest supporters of Kirby Smart from the get go . . . don't make me go back and dig through my files to prove a point . . . . I jest :)

Muschamp took the job in Gainesville, said that was his home. OK.

There is no way that Kirby Smart has removed the Red and Black from his veins. This will always be his home. You and I both know that he came close, really close to taking the Defensive Coordinators job under Mark Richt. Kirby Smart is the answer to UGA FOOTBALL. Money should not enter into the picture, if that is the case, time to pay the President off and move forward.

Want to see the UGA football program turn around quickly, remove Kirby Smart from Tuscaloosa.

Want to see the UGA football program reach new heights, hire Kirby Smart.

Want a decent shot in JAX . . . . easy to figure who should be the Head Coach at UGA.

Want to remain at the same level that we have been mired in for too long, and that goes way, way back, prior to Mark Richt. You like ten wins, you got it. Just keep telling me what a good man our head coach is. You want a chance to compete, yes I said COMPETE, bring in that dude from Tuscaloosa.

I am going to be the wet blanket.
We will go 10-2, third in SEC, go to the Outback Bowl, and MR and staff will be safe and comfortable in Athens.

Anyway, here is my wish list in order:
Smart
Peterson
Patterson
Leach (don't laugh)

We need someone with FIRE and EMOTION
