Don't get me wrong, Devin Taylor is good, but Devin Taylor is not the threat that Clowney is. Taylor is coming into this game with a total of 1.5 sacks on the year, both at Kentucky last week. Not terrible, but that's zero sacks against Vandy, UAB, East Carolina, and Missouri. None of those 4 teams has the O-line or the quick release QB we have. I'm no more worried about playing against Taylor than I would be against any good DE.
Clowney, that's another story...he's absolutly someone that you gameplan for...otherwise, I say we play Taylor straight up, and run away from him and right at Clowney as has been suggested by many others here. Pound the left side of the line...capitalize on Taylor starting to expect the run away from him, and capitalize even more with the screen/flat route/reverse with MM or Wooten back to his side.
It's definitely no small task, but we protect the football, we keep Clowney in check, and we contain Lattimore as much as possible, we win this game. Take those two positions away (Clowney and Lattimore) and position by position we're the better team...heck with Jarvis and "Gurshall" we're possibly better across the board anyway.
