Appears that Seth and his friend see the game about the same way we do. . . .

I'm with you as well ogredawg on helping Theus with the pass rush. Our problem is we will need to help BOTH of our OT's, "chipping" their DE's. Unusual to have to do that to both......could take away a potential receiver or 2 from us by having to chip them.

as agressive as these 2 DL's are maybe a few screens will keep them honest. Screen to the RB's as well as the TE screen.

I was telling my son that last night ogredawg....

We need to use the screen to slow them down, they seem to do one thing, and that is go towards the QB. If we can get their DE's guessing our OLine will look a lot stronger and smarter.

Even a WR drag screen could work. Don't think their LB's are as good as the DL.

My two cents...

GO DAWGS!!!

Don't get me wrong, Devin Taylor is good, but Devin Taylor is not the threat that Clowney is. Taylor is coming into this game with a total of 1.5 sacks on the year, both at Kentucky last week. Not terrible, but that's zero sacks against Vandy, UAB, East Carolina, and Missouri. None of those 4 teams has the O-line or the quick release QB we have. I'm no more worried about playing against Taylor than I would be against any good DE.

Clowney, that's another story...he's absolutly someone that you gameplan for...otherwise, I say we play Taylor straight up, and run away from him and right at Clowney as has been suggested by many others here. Pound the left side of the line...capitalize on Taylor starting to expect the run away from him, and capitalize even more with the screen/flat route/reverse with MM or Wooten back to his side.

It's definitely no small task, but we protect the football, we keep Clowney in check, and we contain Lattimore as much as possible, we win this game. Take those two positions away (Clowney and Lattimore) and position by position we're the better team...heck with Jarvis and "Gurshall" we're possibly better across the board anyway.

Again, agree with you MH on Taylor just being a "good" DE but Theus isn't Stinchcomb either. MUCH less DE's have schooled Theus and he had better "pay attention".
