All of the above names really bring back many memories. Did not notice a time stamp on the player or players we have enjoyed cheering for.

Jarvis Jones in a short period of time has become one of my all time favorites. Listed on the Lott IMPACT award list, and might be the winner of the Butkus Award this season. Would not be surprised to see Jarvis sitting with the group of candidates nominated for the Heisman Trophy.

Dawg With Style, really good film. Makes me think about some of duck's comments about AM. Beginning to think that duck understands and sees what I don't. Played the film back a couple of times, AM is not looking anyone off of the intended receiver. This season AM has several receivers and that includes "tight ends". If, if this Offensive Line comes together, is not or will not say be the best in the SEC, play hard for the "cause", this is a very good football team. That is the only difference that duck and I have, and not sure there is a lack of understanding there. Have to have protection, but also have to see more than one receiver on the play called. Look at the film you posted here and watch AM. Will not make it to the NFL and be successful if that is his best effort.

Do have a couple of thoughts and will place them here.

I do not believe that Spurrier can stop this UGA Offensive group. Mean that. This is a very talented group of players that do not need too much when it comes to breaking games open. I truly believe that UGA's Offensive skills are greater than any of us have seen in . . . . . . more than a decade.

Know that comment is up for grabs, feel however that the talent base is there and as sadlerdawg says, turn these young men loose and change the game plan. Cannot let the rest of the SEC look at film for the past five years and game plan for us. That is the truth, we have been the same for far too long.

Finally have the "total" talent needed on the Offensive side, use it. I make that statement believing that the offenive line will be better this year than the past two years. With the speed in the backfield, don't have to hold those blocks forever. This group of young men can catch the football. We do not need to go deep on every play or one in three plays, let the young pups show their talents. Why else would we recruit this group. This group on the offensive side remind me of Florida in the early 2000's, lots of speed and talent. Wake up in your third year AM, the talent is there.

This football team is different from so many that I have watched from the year 2000 up until now. Maybe that is me, but I think I see a Defense that is ready. (What an understatement) I know that I see an Offense that has the talent, abundant talent, not different than the Defensive side. So much is said about the Defensive side of the Red and Black . . . . . If our Offensive side of the ball plays above (60%) this UGA team is more and far above talent wise that any team wants to face.

Brothers on this board, still like the fact that Quayvon Hicks will be on this team and I do believe that he will look eye ball to eye ball with some of the folks playing for the team in Columbia against the Red and Black . . . . both Columbia's.

Keep clean this summer young pups, this upcoming season could very well be the "HIGH LIGHT" of a season to be remembered . . . by all of us from 100 years and back. . . . .:)

stanger, you have nothing to say . . . you are missed. ;)

yankeedawg1, hope that you have a good hook-up tomorrow. :)

Buc, great post. I too agree. This is the year we prove UGA football is back to what it was in CMR's early days. Can guarantee no one wanted to play those Dawgs, and I am willing to bet no one wants to play these Dawgs.

I look at last year and I truly believe we were anywhere from 8-10 plays from winning the SEC Championship. I mean I think about that a lot. We all have differing opinions about the coaching staff, and that is what makes it fun and why of love this board. But honestly, I truly believe we were that close last year. Mainly, I think of 2 interceptions, a fumble, and 2 punt returns. Were there some bad plays besides those, Yes. Were there some bad calls, Yes. Then, I also think, it was a soph. QB who has been coached up, and a frosh. RB in the SEC. We had a QB last year who had an outstanding year last year. Going to break a lot of school records at our very prestige university, in the toughest conference this country has probably ever seen. Somebody, somewhere had to have done something right. Special teams have to be addressed, and seems they are being addressed.

With saying that, this is probably the most crucial year CMR will ever face. Lot of momentum going in the right direction. No time to step back. Another strong year building on what we did last year, is going to do nothing but add quality recruits. The time is now.

I am not saying a title is a must, but a high energy, hard-nosed group, that pours passion for the game and our great university out of their veins is what I expect. People laying it on the line. Coaches and players. Mistakes are going to happen. But that should not change the intensity we see on the field. No time for retreating. We may not win them all, but by God, we need to be the ones that take the fight to the opponent. Wasn't the case last year against BSU. That can't happen. Not wearing those G's on your helmet. That's not UGA.

As Buc says, coach them up, and continue building.

GO DAWGS

AllDawgs5, in yankeedawg1's Friday Blue Plate Special, he mentions that Bulldog supporters from all walks of life are po'd with the turn of events from last season. He is also on the mark when he mentions Grantham and the defense. From what I can gather, Todd Grantham is keeping the last two games in front of this group of folks.

Also go along with you on Mark Richt. Some years it can be tolerated, maybe not accepted from the fan base that the team has an off year. Too much talent on the offensive side as has been discussed more than once here and everywhere else concerning the talent that is in Athens and the talent that will be there this summer in time for preparation for the upcoming season.

I will miss my guess if we don't have two tight end sets with two or three very capable young men holding those spots down. Two of our tightends are big and in shape. Third tightend might or probably will line up in the slot. From the sidelines, I would put my "coaching hat" on and run many of my formations with these three players in the game. This would work well against South Carolina in my opinion, added blocking and receiving. Gives these young backs with so much speed a chance for many yards on the ground and swing passes out of the backfield. I sure hope that we see some "changes" offensively this season, throw away a portion of the old play book and three hole punch some sheets with new schemes inserted.

Good post AD5, enjoyed reading your thoughts. :)

Since Georgia hired Jones as director of on-campus recruiting does this mean that we will not hire H-Ward for anything this is the article.
