For those that have not read this article, I really hope that you do, from top to bottom. One paragraph far down in the text mentions Steve Spurrier. The impression that he left with this young man speaks volumes. Christian, you da man!

That was a great article on CR, Buc. Thanks!
Going back to my earlier post, of course my favorite player of all time for UGA is Herschel. However, not just because of the great player he was, but because he was a very humble, genuine player who directed the attention to his offensive line and his team. He was kind all the time, even saying hello to me on the campus bus from time to time.
Soooo . . . OTHER than Herschel . . . my all time favorite Dawg would probably have to be Hines Ward. I think very few people know that he was only about 25 yards shy of being the only player ever to get 1000 yards rushing, receiving AND PASSING in his college career. Why Donnan didn't let him get the final yards is a mystery to me. And to watch him play his pro ball and smack linebackers around like they were little sissy girl ballerinas, and then to hear them COMPLAIN about "cheap shots" was awesome. And to see him catch a pass, get his feet knocked out from under him and land on his head and just get up smiling and patting the defensive guy on the helmet made me like him even more. Hines, you da man . . . and a damm good DAWG!

thriller, there will probably never be two HW's like these two. As for Christian, not too much more needs to be said, just an outstanding young pup. Guidance in the early years means so much, parenting is also a skill.
