thriller, you are so right about Hines.......imo, he was truly a "sandlot" football player that took that type of talent to the next level.......tough, very tough kid, textbook sandlot player.

Another UGA grad that really makes this old fart proud. Regardless of the money he gets, he still has the heart to recognize need.

Buc, once again, you NAILED it! Stafford has enough character to make up for quite a few of the losers the NFL has put up with over the years. That article made me proud to be a DAWG!
And if the Lions can put together a half way legitimate running threat this year, and protect Stafford, they'll go DEEP into the playoffs. Go Dawgs AND Lions!

Another player that I "believe" is going to be outstanding this season is Marlon Brown. Takes some longer than others to figure things out. I don't think when he came to Athens he had seen anything close to what the SEC presents these young men just out of high school. We are talking about 6'5" 225 lbs. Catching the football has never been a problem for Marlon.
We have a lot of folks that can and will catch the football. Can't put my finger on it, really have this feeling that Marlon Brown is going to light it up. Also believe that there is enough talent with our receiving corps to leave Mitchell on the same side of the line of scrimmage that he will start the season on.
One thing that I am sure of, Saban/Smart wanted Malcolm Mitchell on the defensive side of the football, good reasoning for that. Going to be tough for Grantham/Lakatos to give MM up to the offensive side of the ball. All of us know that MM is one of those athletes that comes along once in a great while, that is not knocking all of the other talent that this team has, UGA has talent galore in Athens.
Too often I read the same "stuff" over and over. Somehow don't think that those in the media look at players that develop later on. We will see, I cast a vote for Marlon Brown. Think he will be sensational this season, might make some of the "know it alls" come on board and tell all of us that they knew he would reach these heights. Again, 6'5" 225 lbs. and does not have lead in his feet.
One old farts thoughts . . . .
