Agree with you sadlerdawg but my point is.......we shouldn't HAVE to finesse plays AROUND our OL, we should have an outstanding OL year in and year out. No reason our OL shouldn't be as dominating as BAMA's or LSU's.

Buc.....which I also agree with your point (we agree about the OL and this "mystery" of why it is always mediocre) of CMR is the man responsible with the recruiting gameplan. It has been BAFFLING to me that the OL/DL recruiting plan isn't #1 every year. If he focused on the OL as much as the "skilled" positions, we could have won the SEC a couple more times and maybe a NC......imo.

Baffles me.

I'm with you on the OL, wlayton. It is inexplicable that we have had shortcomings on the OL for so many years. I was just pointing out that since the offensive staff seemingly refuses to recruit numerous quality offensive linemen, they should at least take full advantage of what they have. They could make the OL look a heck of a lot better with a different play selection.

With you again sadlerdawg.....we are definetly on the same page. If they WON'T make the OL TOP priority, then you are so correct. You have to use imagination and offensive knowledge to work around that weakness.

I'll never forget something SOS said while he was coaching at UF.......they asked him about several injuries on the OL and he said he wasn't worried, he would work around the situation. Just plug the whole with another player and he would do the rest (his brilliance as a coach).....EXACTLY to YOUR point, sir !!! ;)
