I agree with alot of what everyone is saying here about LSU and Alabama. These two teams were the best in the SEC/Nation this year. And glad we don't have to play them next year in the reg. season.

But what stood out to me last night was:

1 Alabama did alot of runs up the middle but also rollout passes.
2 LSU did alot of runs up the middle but didn't do any rollout passes.
3 I though LSU did ok on "D" but just got tired at the end of the game. And I never understood why they didn’t try Lee in the second half.
4 And the one I'm very impress with is Alabama had one flag (Off sides on a punt). To me the thing that kills a drive time more than turnovers are flags. And the Dawgs have had so many flags over the last few years that have KILLED drivers for them and kept drivers going for the other team(s). Now whose fault is that, players or coaches I don't know. But in my humble opinion it needs to get fixed before we even think about winning the big game!

That’s my two cents worth, whatever it's worth?

Don't you know Alabama has the checkbook out. I have no doubt Buc, Todd Grantham has those players, results similar. Scary good players.

Can give bama coaches all the credit we would like, and they deserved a lot, but one thing I noticed, Guys made plays. They are jumping over the back of db's to catch football's, and we dropped wide open TD passes. Bama continues to run the football up the middle. Wasn't much there for the most part, but Bama continued to pound the issue. Right up the gut, then Richardson bounces one for a TD. Also, he falls forward on every carry. Even when nothing was there, he picks up 1-2. We need one of those. IC rushed for 847 this year. Wonder how many yards Richardson would have rushed for behind our O line. Bet it would have still been well over 1,000.

If we had kicked those field goals, believe it was 6 attempts, this board would have been ready to crucify CMR. Seen it happen many times.

Average, I am with you. That defense is as good as they come. We tried hard to get Kirby. Stamina was very true. Didn't see Bama substituting very much, and that defense never slowed down.

Keep working Dawgs.

Always seems we judge other coaches on a realistic scale, and ours on one that only counts failures.

Saban did not have a choice. The Bama fan base demanded a NC. Saban did not want to face them after losing, and for that matter neither would I. That is the difference in us and them. They expect championships and we don't.

Just my opinion.

averagedawg, looking around at possible schools for Coach Smart to hitch his wagon to, don't see a good fit for him at this point. You are right as usual, the folks in Tuscaloosa will do whatever is necessary to keep Coach Smart there. That includes Coach Saban. Saban needs a good right hand man and he has that with Kirby.

Most of us know that Kirby Smart is dangerous when he hits the recruiting trail in Georgia. Results speak for themselves. Money will not be an issue, and won't be the only factor. Coach Smart is ready, he however listens to wisdom, and who has more college football wisdom that Coach Saban . . . :)

BAMA hands down the best coached team in college football. Will see more of the same next year.

BAMA's D rivals the '85 Bears.

As long as Saban is coaching there......it will be a dynasty.
