Yeah, AD5, those 'Bama kids played about as good as it gets.
Confident, tough, smart.
Definitely deserve the title.

Probably because some consistently compete for championships and some don't.

thriller, Alabama is going to always be better than most. That comes from winning and winning comes from what we witnessed last evening. They are coached to perfection. Saban lost it with the one and only penalty Alabama had . . . . an offsides penalty no less and the game was for all intents and purposes, over at that point.

The string of defeats we went through with the gators, no way that happens to a well coached football team. Especially a team with better than average talent, if we believe in stars by players names and the media folks that hype that stuff.

Saban began coaching Alabama football in 2007, ended up with a 7-6 record in his first season. Second season Saban's football team had a 12-2 record. Won the national title in 2009 with a 14-0 record. Here he is again, second national title in his fourth/fifth year. Who is going to challenge them next season?

Interesting question as to whether or not we can achieve under the present coaches.

I think that Coach Grantham is solidly on track. We have seen more than a lot of improvement on the defensive side of the ball. Yes, apparently Jenkins is that good and I say that for this reason . . . Saban/Smart wanted him badly in Tuscaloosa, that is all I need to know about Jenkins.

As much as I hate to say this . . . last night Alabama ran two or three of the same routes that UGA did against LSU. They were also successful and made a huge difference in the outcome. As kentdaddy said, LSU's pass defense was exposed. Problem with our OC whether Richt or Bobo, we don't see consistency in play calling. If it works, we seem to move on to something else. Maybe I should ask you whether or not our coaching will stack up with the big boys . . .

Coaching. Compare the years Saban and his forces have been in Tuscaloosa against Mark Richt and his forces time in Athens. Pretty much answers the question about coaching.

Success breeds success.
Saban can easily out recruit most anybody, based on his record.
That's why I was so excited getting Jenkins.

averagedawg, when players like #29 come on board and show the talent and character he demonstrates, I believe that has a huge bearing on players like Jenkins. Noticed that his family was really impressed with Coach Grantham.

I think most on here (well Me for sure) judge CMR on what he has done for me lately. Whether we like it or not, our program has gone down hill. I know we won 10 games this year, but we beat nobody. If we were to play Ala, LSU, Ark next year we'd lose, I am not so sure we can beat USC anymore. We have the players, we do not have a coach the likes of Saban, Spurrier, Myles, Peterson, ect that makes these kids winners. As I have said before, I don't know this for a fact, but to me CMR is jsujt satisfied with the 8 or 9 wins, and a bowl game. He is just not the type coach that can or will take us to the next level. I don't care how many dream teams we have, I can bet you what we did this year is the best we get. Based on our schedule next year, we may get 9 wins, maybe 10 but we just don't have the desire to win big games or the know how.

I saw LSU give out in the 4th quarter due to their lack of offense, but they still seem to have more stama than we did in the 4th quarter of the MSU game and certainly more than the 2nd half of the LSU game. I see improvement if S&C, but still players are walking around with their hands on their hips and we still get pushed around by smaller men. I just don't think tht we have the coaches that demand the time and the effort for the S&C, CMR leaves it up to each player if he wants to improve or not, where as programs like ALA and LSU, or even USC, they expect each player to be in that weight room.

As I said I don't know any of this for fact, I just judge by what I see, and form looking at other teams and how they perform, just makes me wonder if things will ever change for UGA.
