stanger have strong feelings that Todd Gurley is going to come to Athens.
Have heard it said many times by some of the posters that they are looking for that number one. Old as I am, I know that times change and the game for sure has changed a lot. You mentioned the Vikings, big man goes down and someone has to step up. Guess I am saying that I really like depth, not often does one guy at one position have it over the next one or two players by that much of a margin. Good luck to Caleb . . . . what could have been.
Really good offensive line can make many good backs look and "play" great.
Example, if we have IC, Keith Marshall, Todd Gurley. That is a lot of young talent to be sitting on the bench. Played quarterback in high school and we played with a full backfield. Quarterback through repitition learns the different tendencies of the entire backfield.
Pretty much the days of the Herschel Walkers are gone, game changed too much. Bigger, faster, stronger, and yes, smarter in (some) cases. Football is all some of these young men come to college for. Appears this recruiting class has some serious "book worms". I applaud that.
Going to be a stretch for Orson to return to Athens. With tight ends being such a huge part of pro football these days, there is without a doubt playing time real soon. In my mind I can see several pro teams that would love to have Orson. Might fool some of the experts as to when he would go in the draft. AM has his work cut out for him trying to keep his high school buddy around for another year. I would classify Charles as a "hybrid". Makes his stock rise even higher.
Don't know how many watched Missouri and North Carolina in the bowl game. Had mentioned on this board earlier that Missouri's quarterback is really good. Missouri is coming to the SEC with a chip on their shoulders, wounded animal type of thing. Beware, they are a really good football team. Liked the way they were coached for the most part. Got on top of North Carolina and did not let up, could be a lesson learned by our coaching staff. You think . . . .
Hoping all have a great and prosperous New Year, and Avery Young casts his lot with UGA. I did ask Santa for this great offensive tackle. Hoping that Blue is working on his cousin big time.
Go Dawgs . . . coach'em up
