Grantham Coaching Experience was created by Buc
There has been conversation on this board from time to time about Coach Grantham and his head coaching possibilities.
If you have not read the link below, suggest you might want to have a look.
How many head coaches today have had the opportunities that Coach Grantham has had. We had best treasure this man, his coaching career does not end being #2 on the ticket. Also do not believe a man of his stature plays the silly "head coach in waiting game" that some do.
Job came open and Muschamp forgot those famous words "coach in waiting". Would you hire Msuchamp or Grantham?

Grantham, hands down.....not even a contest.
Read a similar article just this morning in the Fla Times Union.......impressive to say the least. Learned under Saban.....'nuff said. Pay the man whatever he needs.....

That is impressive "stuff" in my simple mind wlayton.
Don't want to make the mistakes we have made in the past. Hard for old farts like me to forget the way some coaches become head coaches.
I could site Ray Goff becoming a head coach, and turn around and say Erk had to leave for a smaller school. We all know how the "smaller school" turned out record wise after Erk made his appearance. Don't think a lot has to be said about Ray Goff other than he was a good football player. Appreciate the fact that he played hard for UGA and was the reason that Herschel Walker attended UGA. Head Coach, not his cup of tea. VD and hiring habits again. Might leave that last comment alone, or maybe not.
In my mind, have said it before, Coach Grantham is cut from the same cloth that Erk came from. Coach Grantham has many years of solid "learning" experience under some of the best.
Don't know or think that "big money" will keep Coach Grantham on the Campus of UGA. One more year like this past season, "they" will come "calling". Money will not be a problem. Coach Grantham has a solid "network of friends" in the coaching business, both on the field and in the room where the money is counted. That is called . . . . experience, and the point that I have tried to make throughout when discussing Coach Grantham.

If Todd Grantham has a defense that improves next year as much as it did this year, it will be hard keeping him as an assistant.
I don't think Coach Grantham is content being an assistant coach forever.

Yeah, you're right......the situation UGA is in with Grantham is starting to feel like a "catch 22".
