wlayton wrote: May be right (even though I LOVE great D, not boring to me, contrarily, pretty intense to me) but how can you possibly justify OSU going after losing to a 6-6 Iowa St team. Plus Oregon, Stanford and others had their chance as well. Just one of those years where you can't justify an alternative.

Easy. Instead of counting on who they lost to focus on who they beat. Alabama only beat 3 teams with a winning record.........Arkansas, Penn State and Auburn. we know Penn State and Auburn suck and Arkansas is more over rated than Kanye West. They suck too. Their lone claim to fame is the lost to the top two teams.

OSU won a conference. Alabama did not win a thing and their lone claim to fame is they almost beat someone. I will be skipping this telecast. LSU / OSU would have been fun to watch.

"Any give Saturday"...I know, BUT, I think the only way LSU loses the nat'l title game is if the BCS decides to pull Alabama out of the game and sends Green Bay instead.

I remain unimpressed. AS I stated before hand LSU is vulnerable through the air if the WRs can catch a damn touchdown. They are a great team when ahead. Georgia was the best offensive team LSU played all year and now they get to face an inferior Alabama offense again. LSU is not an all time great team folks.

Agree with your take Kentdaddy... Still would love to see how this LSU team would have reacted being down 21-0 (or more if our DB's could catch) starting the second half. Not sure that offense of theirs would have been as effective with 80+ yards to go instead of 1st and 10 from their own 20 yard line being down 10-7 instead of 21-0... Guess we'll never know...

There are "ifs" in every game played......LSU is much better.

All well and good, but it wasn't their offense that did us in, it was our own mistakes and their exceptional special teams play. Like you said though, unless one of you on here is secretly Marty McFly or Doc Brown, I guess we'll never know.
