My brother graduated from Alabama, so I hear all about Saban. Like us, lives and breathes football.
The reason I think Alabama wins is Saban and Smart. No two coaches work harder than those two.
Interesting, Grantham and Kirby are good friends.
I look at Coach Grantham and I see intensity, bloody lip and all. He is one helluva coach and works his butt off. I congratulate Coach Richt on a good year, give him a B+. Give Coach Grantham an A+.
I guess I got off topic.

"Any give Saturday"...I know, BUT, I think the only way LSU loses the nat'l title game is if the BCS decides to pull Alabama out of the game and sends Green Bay instead.
MH, I agree with you and Buc.
Said in another post....LSU will win by 10.
Say now.....I agree with Buc, wouldn't bet my life savings on either.

We shall see about that 10 point spread... In a close came, if 'Bama can keep it close; I never
discount Les Miles ability to mismanage the clock or do something equally bone-headed.

I usually would agree with that especially before this year..."Spanky" could make some dumb decisions (or lack thereof). Like I said, wouldn't put my dollars on either but LSU is SO freakin athletic and looks to be 3 deep at every position.....pretty amazing. Guess it will boil down to least mistakes.

Agree...LSU's starters are solid across all 22 spots...that alone makes them very hard to beat. It's even tougher when they can basically come out to start the 2nd half with fresh legs at most spots. Betting on sports is a slippery slope for me so I avoid it all together. Otherwise I'd be tempted to put my savings on LSU...minus enough money to buy diamond earrings to apologize to the missus.
