Helmet on top of the head, huh? I'm WAY too small to have played much, but did play some in high school. If anyone, starter or not, EVER took off a helmet, it was curtains for him. Those lids stayed on the entire practice, rain or shine, hot or cold. I can't believe that Richt would allow something like that.

May have been a bit misleading with that part wlayton...apparently he's not taking it off between plays while still being on the field. Rather, as soon as he comes out of the rotation, chin strap off, helmet on top of head. Watch Crowell on the sideline when he's not in the game...helmet is always perched on top of his head.

Tell you what MH, that's the way it was when I played too (what thriller posted). That helmet stayed ON until you put it back in your locker. Have a good weekend MH....party's at 7:30.
