No, not to my knowledge. Powell isn't exactly a great market for promoting athletes. I have stated many times the talent level in the state is not even comparable to Ga, Fl, Tx, and some of the other power football states. However, this kid can play. He really has flown under the radar. Apparently, cheaney told him as a sophomore that he was not an SEC caliber player at a ut camp. The kid worked his butt of, got his 40 time down to 4.5.

Will also add, the kid is probably a better OLB than he is RB. Don't know if UGA would offer, but I hope they at least give the kid a look.

Did not realize that Todd Gurley was a demon on defense. Looking around at some potential UGA players, Gurley floored me with the play on the film below. Young man will hit you. :)

Edit: Reminds me a lot of Ramik Wilson.

Love to see a young man that comes up and makes a text book tackle like that.. Definetley something we're missing from our DB's at times... Especially our corners..

DAWG1277, have read a little about Cordarelle Patterson, fill us in on what you know about where he might end up. Looking at the film, strong hands for sure. Strong hands many times make up for lack of speed or height. Have we offered Cordarelle?

uga.dawgs, really good point on the form tackling. As old as I am, we were taught to tackle like you refer to in your post. How many posts have we read where the main gripe was "wrap 'em up". Sometimes seems like a lost art.

Many schools want Avery Young, watching his film, you will see why if you don't know already. Oklahoma, Florida and many, many others really working hard on Avery. Avery and Thomas Davis are cousins, hoping that will amount to something in recruiting this young man and moving him in our direction. Another of the tough down linemen that we need at UGA. Richt said he wanted 6 offensive linemen this class. What a get this would be.

Right now there is a lot of controversy in Gainesville with the gators, talk of coaches thinking about moving to other locations, one of the coaches, S&C coach looks to be moving to Columbus, Ohio. Don't think that Urban Liar Meyer and Hot Head Muschamp are friends at this point. Watch your step Muschamp, Jeremy is watching. Jeremy Foley moves swiftly in hiring as was the case with Muschamp and fires just as quickly. He controls football in Gainesville.

There is a report circulating that in a meeting Muschamp had with his coaches recently, he said that anyone that did not want to be a part of his team, pick up now and leave. There is also talk that Weis is being considered for another head coaching job. That does not scare me much, Coach Grantham has Charlie's number, sort of want Charlie to remain with Muschamp.

Ok, off the subject a tad. Avery Young, take a look at how good his footwork and (forgive me) nastiness is. Likes to pancake not only at the line of scrimmage, hunts folks down field for the same treatment.
