uga.dawgs, really good point on the form tackling. As old as I am, we were taught to tackle like you refer to in your post. How many posts have we read where the main gripe was "wrap 'em up". Sometimes seems like a lost art.

I dont really know where he will end up Buc. Ive heard a few small rumblings about Tenn. but who knows...the kid is a baller for sure.

DAWG1277, after you brought my attention to him (had heard the name) took some time and checked this young fellow out. You are so right, going to play and make returns to the team he chooses.

Think I saw somewhere that Oklahoma State wants Patterson. If that is the case, would not be surprised to see him casting his lot there. That team, since the (blow up) has come on strong and I don't think it is a fluke. They handed it to us, and since then have made it a practice of winning and winning big.

Young fellows at Oklahoma State have bought into the program and most of all, the coach. A bit like our defense and Coach Grantham.

DAWG1277, big gathering in Athens tonight. Here is hoping that some of this talent will sign on with UGA. Several big pieces to "our" puzzle will be in Athens tonight for sure. Crossed fingers. :)

Looks like Tennessee and Florida have some things to sort out. Young man goes to UT, no doubt that he will have some balls thrown his way. Not real crazy about the quarterback for the Vols, that however is their problem.

TN Dawg said in another thread that I hope we have a really good get to know ya kind of thingy tonight in Athens. Kind of talent that reaches out past a year or two, talent base that UGA can really continue to build on.

Go Dawgs . . . . sign'em up!! :)

Later on in the evening DAWG1277, for some reason could not leave your post alone. Here is another bit that I came up with, if you have not read this, worth looking at. Know that it is hard to not be impressed with the facilities and the players he will be surrounded by. DAWG1277, one question for you . . . how is that Great Dane doing?

With their biggest recruiting weekend of the year approaching, the University of Georgia coaches were on the road trying to improve their standing with several of their top remaining targets. That includes juco wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson (Hutchinson, Kans./Hutchinson CC), who will be in Athens this weekend for his third official visit. With only one commitment from a wide receiver, Blake Tibbs (Lithonia, Ga./Martin Luther King), the Bulldogs are trying to convince Patterson just how much he is needed next year.

Patterson said Tuesday that Georgia wide receivers coach Tony Ball had been to see him earlier that day.

“He was telling me that I could come right in and help them out a lot in the passing game,” Patterson said.

He is doing awesome! Thanks for asking. He was a little mopey for a while, because, unfortunately on the day we trounced Auburn, we had to put down his "little, big brother". Our baby boy Schnapps was an 18 yr old Dachshund. He lived a wonderful, happy life, and of course I still miss him everyday. His time was just up though, lived a very long time. Suppose that happens when you take care of em like they deserve. Munson the Dane just turned 4 on Nov. 30th and couldnt be in better shape! The day will come again that we get us another Schnappy, but for now it's just the misses, myself, and Muns-Muns.

Anybody know any thing about Marshall Morgan , the kicker we recruited from Miami?
We really need a kicker.
Watching coverage of the Calhoun/Buford game this weekend. Kid from Calhoun kicked the game winning FG, Adam Grffith, headed to Tuscaloosa. Big win for Calhoun.
I sure as hell hope Morgan can handle the pressure cooker of kicking in the SEC.
