AM Good on You!

Within the national media, many do not view AM as a pro-caliber QB. Same thing was
true of Tebow, but Tebow was a one man team and that team was national championship
contender and recent winner.Plus being a sophomore.. no one has really ever thought
about AM as an Heisman candidate going into the season.

First game we had this season.. on national TV: AM didn't play particularly great
and we stunk up the joint.

Add all that up, and fairly or unfairly it results in AM not really being able to
jump into the Heisman running.

Guess I was a bit off on my post, not really thinking about AM and the trophy at this point for sure.

As far as the first game of the year, we were not ready for a team the caliber of Boise State. They kicked our butts. Walk into a pool hall thinking you shoot a mean game, don't know that 50 year old with experience happens to be Willie Mosconi or Luther Lassiter, after you play them, you know much needs to be done.

Next game against South Carolina, what ya gonna say.

Sweet part of this team is that they have grown together. Appears offense and defense have learned their lessons well. Just needed a few tune-ups to get the engine running properly. At some point, the light comes on. Win this week and then beat Tech, then get on what will be a national stage in Atlanta. At that point we will know where everyone stands, including team and fans.

Great video-throughly enjoyed watching it! Great to see AM on his feet & not on his back. Kid is tough as nails & a real leader to boot. As wlayton told us way back when AM first committed to UGA over UF, we got us a good one that will play for 4 years! AM will be a serious Heisman contender next year & IMO, if IC straightens up his attitude & hits the gym hard this offseason, he could be in the Heisman discussion too. Kid has all the tools: vision, agility, size, & speed.

Wonder what AM's & Luck's completion percentage would be if they flipped schedules? A good Defense in the Pac 12 is one that holds opponents to under 30 a game, not 20 or 10 like the SEC.

Think you are right on the mood swing Goose. There was reason to be disappointed when we were basically watching SOME of the same things that were being played out in previous seasons.

Still fall back on the conversation between McGarity and Richt. One simple statement by McGarity . . . "you go back to coaching football, I will take care of the rest".

We all know that some people have a hard time relegating authority, McGarity does not seem to have that problem. Damn Good Dawg . . . . in my opinion.

Not going to take anything away from Luck, he's the real deal and the #1 draft pick.....will be another Brady or Manning imo.

BUT........if UGA had started the season off winning their 1st two games, I believe AM's name would be mentioned in the Heisman race.....maybe not in the top 3 but certainly mentioned. Stanford started strong as did others and that ALWAYS helps those teams promoting their Heisman candidates.

Don't think individual awards matter much to him.
