I'm only 25 and got married back in January and just bought our new house so timing was'nt all that great. Luckly for me my wife has a good job and is keeping us afloat. I did heavy structal steel welding before getting laid off Aug 31rst. I have so many idea's on what I want to do I don't even know what to do. I know I'm at a age where I can still make a career out of something. Police officer ehhh thought about it....truck driver ehhhh love being home to much. My stepdad owns a REALLY successful restoration/body shop here in Monroe so Ive been thinking of going to college something no one in my family has ever done. But who knows what I'll be doing. I just no the only thing I like forward to is Saturdays when I get to go watch the dawgs play.

stanger, you have PLENTY of time to decide what you want to do. I turn 24 next month and just started college for IT at the beginning of this year. You can drive a tractor-trailer and be home every night, I would know since I do it and support a family of three(been married since I was 19, 2007). If you had some experience I could probably get you on, but nonetheless you obviously have the drive to get out and get a job so ALL of us dawgs here know it will turn around for ya. Just keep on keepin on.

Plain and simple for 2011...WIN

How many QB's has the dawg defense knockedout/injured this year?? I know 4 or 5 for sure

Miss State CHECK
Tennessee CHECK
Vandy Check
New Mexico State Check

I'm thinking Ol Miss they did too. I can't remember on that game.

I'm not about hurting anyone on the field but dang that's pretty impressive.

Let's not forget about Mr. Brantley who was probably wishing he got knocked out instead of getting to know Mr. Jarvis Jones all afternoon... Seem to remember him walking with a severe limp at the end of that one...

Reading this thread and it took a while for this thought to come to me.

Junk Yard Dawgs . . . .

Thinking about the past few years and the attitude of our team and maybe coaches. We can only speak for ourselves, so . . .

The turn around by the defense has been better than good. I credit Grantham for that. He is a no nonsense leader that will always push these young pups to get better. Not quick to heap praise on an individual, unless the individual is really performing at a high level.

With the defense improving drastically and I think the D has, it has carried over to the offensive side of the ball. Pups over there are taking on the attitude that Grantham has instilled on the D side. Slowly but surely this group of players are becoming a seriously proud bunch. That is offense and defense. I am not knocking anyone that works with and teaches on the O side. It just appears that in the second year of Grantham's rule, both sides have figured out that some of these coaches are working hard to make the team better.

If we look back at (He asked for it) Martinez, he did not, does not have the same type of leadership that is required for a Junk Yard Defense. The opportunity was here, the players were here, the coaching ability was not. If it had been, WM would still be here, or would be the defensive coordinator at a school that needed his services as a leader. Pretty clear to me.

I am not the first person to say this, not on this board or elsewhere. This bunch of pups are getting to the point that they are good, if you believe in ratings. What will the defense look like with a couple more years under their belts? Slowly but surely we are creeping up on a couple of the "Big Boys". We know who they are. Grantham and his group of coaches are on a mission, we have to like that. What is not to like? They will stumble on occasion, but will not forget the mistakes made and be better for the lesson that Grantham and his group will repair as needed.

uga.dawgs mentioned Jarvis Jones. He is all that and will get better, both physically and mentally. Not sure he meeds any more physicality, however the learning never stops when you have a headmaster like Grantham. Ogletree was pulled into the "7 mix" for a reason, might have more talent that Jarvis. Great signing by Richt, correct move by Grantham bringing him into the box.

This weeks game as we all know is going to be watched by a lot of promising young folks out there that want to play in the SEC. We do our job, feel that there will be a couple of "surprises" before the February deadline. I hear rumors, but right now, that is exactly what they are, rumors.

Am I totally on the wagon, nope. Let me put that another way, I like this group of "team" players that the coaches have assembled in Athens, who would not like this group at any college in the country.

I am a big fan of ogredawg on this board. He calls it like he sees it, can't ask for much more. ogredawg told us that Jenkins would become a special player in Athens, after watching all of the games that he has played in thus far, excites the heck out of me. He is one of the people that I was speaking of earlier, although most of that chatter was about Grantham. Jenkins came to town not knowing exactly what to expect, he has since the season progressed, figured it out. Watch that cat in the middle, takes up a lot of space. Other side to that, Jenkins coming made Kwame wake up and realize just how much talent he (Kwame) has.

Have to stop, could write pages. My sincere hope is that we play to our capabilities this Saturday. If we do that, a lot of things are going to change in Athens Town, soon.

Go Dawgs, and hope this is not the invisible ink that sadlerdawg mentioned. I do not like Abuurn!
