Scheme? Doesn't matter.. it's about an attitude. One
thing CTG definitely brings to the table is that very thing.

It's always great to do something you truly enjoy. I saw Hamilton Bowen's website, cool. A wheel gun guy.thriller wrote: Hey averagedawg, gunsmith is a great choice. I should introduce you to my dad - he's in his early 80's now - he has a veritable arsenal and is really good friends with a guy named Hamilton Bowen, who does custom handgun work.

I'm only 25 and got married back in January and just bought our new house so timing was'nt all that great. Luckly for me my wife has a good job and is keeping us afloat. I did heavy structal steel welding before getting laid off Aug 31rst. I have so many idea's on what I want to do I don't even know what to do. I know I'm at a age where I can still make a career out of something. Police officer ehhh thought about it....truck driver ehhhh love being home to much. My stepdad owns a REALLY successful restoration/body shop here in Monroe so Ive been thinking of going to college something no one in my family has ever done. But who knows what I'll be doing. I just no the only thing I like forward to is Saturdays when I get to go watch the dawgs play.
stanger.....you will be fine, I didn't commit to my career until age 35, do what you enjoy.
Btw....is the restoration business restoring muscle cars, antiques and classics etc? If so and you like old muscle cars etc, what a great vocation. I would love to make a living doing that but of course I eat and sleep muscle cars too. Expensive hobby so will keep working where I am but if that's the business your stepdad owns, it can be a good one because people will spend a lot of money on their old cars.

understand I'm into muscle cars. My last restoration was a 64 Pontiac Catalina 2+2.
My only question would be being a welder seems like a good skill to bring to the automotive
restoration business, so just curious as to why you don't go that direction with an "in"
because of your stepdad's business?

Hey Wart, you into muscle cars in a big way?? If so, we need to stay in close touch (maybe off forum etc). Assuming you don't still have the '64 GTO......4-speed, 389 with tri-power or 4 barrel carb? Conv? Great car.
Btw, do you live in Georgia?...if so, where? Attend shows...travel etc?
