stanger, maybe it happened as TN Dawg posted. JJ did not like his attitude either. Might be that some of that "tough love" might wake him up. Watching Jones play, he has plenty of that "tough" business. Have to like it, man wants to win. I really enjoy the fact that a defensive player took it on himself to "step up" and say, that is not what we want on this team. Apparently there was no one on the offensive side that had that type of moxy. Good on you Jarvis Jones. Team needs leaders.
Buc, I'm with you on JJ...in my mind, if any positive change is going to be seen in IC, it's going to be from leaders within the team ranks, not the coaching staff. Again, not saying it's right, but IC's still a kid and kids have a tendency to naturally rebel against authority figures. Kinda like the adage of when you tell a kid not to do something, it only makes him want to do it more. He needs peer-level encouragement (and by encouragement I meant a swift kick in the pants)...someone like Jarvis, Samuel, Orson, Ben Jones, etc. to get in his face, REALLY get the point across, then take him under his wing and show him the right path. That's the only way things get turned back around...otherwise, like others here have pointed out...he'll be gone before the 2013 season starts.
