warrior in the SEC. Most are afforded a transition period where they can afford to learn and
grow into what it takes to cut it in the SEC. I would venture a guess that some routine tackles in
the SEC are close to equal to the hardest hits he ever took in HS.

Most kids as good as IC didn't even play in the 2nd half of a 10 game season in high school. Then, we expect him to come in and pound for 25 carries a game as an 18 year old.
Please don't take this the wrong way if I come off a little sensitive here, but we have NO IDEA who is saying what on the sidelines. How do we know IC keeps wanting out?
What if it's our RB coach wanting to keep him healthy as a true freshman with no experience on dealing with the pounding and pain of the SEC?????
Geez, I am willing to bet this kid gets hit more in one game than he did in 5-6 in high school.
Unless we are on the sidelines during the games then we are speculationg.
I've watched how hard IC tries to piund it between the tackles when called upon, and he in no way is a wimp, weak, scared, or uncommitted to UGA football.
Does anyone remember what this kid did in the SC game???? North of 100 yards against the GREAT SC defense.

I'm not questioning his talents, I'm questioning his mental commitment. And if over time he continued to miss carries due to his boo-boos, he might find himself not starting. Of course, if I were coach, RS would have alot more experience at running back becuase I would have recruited better so as not to make him switch postions every year.
Big BUMP on this.....reading the other posts about how hard it is to transition to the SEC from High school may be true......but this is the Ga/Fla game on the biggest stage on National TV in front of millions and IC goes out with a "shin contusion" while AM is getting beat and battered and does not miss a down.....IC could not be too hurt to come in for the last few minutes of the game......after RS showed him how it is done by a Football player.....

Yeah sadlerdawg, I have started to question his "heart" and toughness too. We'll see.....hopefully he's starting to realize that playing RB in the SEC is not anything like HS ball. He's still just a freshman and is learning, hopefully he WILL learn and WANT to be the go to guy. Plus, during the offseason, he will bulk up some and get stronger....still has a HS body. He does have a ton of talent and is adjusting to SEC football......we'll see, he sure was excited after the win in Jax. Believe he will be ok.
