Hard for me to understand how Richt could have been left out of the thread. We should not pick and choose what portions of a film clip or what someone said and base it on that. You mentioned reading Grantham's lips, that is just a part of what happened in Nashville.
The single biggest issue in my mind was the chop blocking. That was taught by some coach, used against UGA, and approved by none other than Franklin. I guess I am like Grantham and Kwame, time to knock someone's head off.
Every year about this time we see the forgiving souls that are totally in step with our coaching staff. Win a few games and all is well. JAX is coming, Muschamp will have his forces ready, wonder about Richt. Richt loses to Muschamp, this board will light up with folks that can't believe we lost another one to Florida, and the hatchets will be out.
This is my say on Richt. 2011 easy schedule compared to many others in the SEC. Can't win this year, I know, that same old song again. I just do not buy it, and there is not another person on this board that cares more about the Georgia Bulldogs than myself. As much, yes, more . . . nope.
I watched VD and what he did to Erk, many on this board were not there to see it. Said in another thread, having flash backs.

Buc, in all due respect, it was my thread and I chose to only address how people felt about the way CTG acted....no more and no less. Only wanted to address CTG.
I liked he defended his players but wasn't happy the classless way he represented UGA. If Franklin wants to act that way for Vandy, fine, our staff should be better than that.
Whatever...its all good.

I haven't weighed in much on the Grantham issue, but I guess I'll give my 2 cents...
Kind of a non issue for me, or at least not a big issue. I think UGA should lead the way in the
class department, and I think Grantham did not do that on Saturday night. I would note however
that I sort of get Grantham and what he's trying to do to defend his boys. The fire is
appreciated, even if it may have been a tad misplaced. I think the response is to act classy
with the public response, say the right things etc, but then just brush it aside and move on.
As far as Richt's apology response goes... Meh.. that's who he is. I probably wouldn't have
apologized for anything until I had all the facts at my disposal.. both sides of the story,
but I think some might be over reacting negatively towards Richt's response.
We have a bad habit at times, and I'm as guilty of it as anyone else. We have begun to nitpick
on Richt to a degree, and when we see what we perceive as a transgression, we sometimes over blow it and rain a fair amount of latent anger about other things in the past upon him. Many think Richt
is a <insert lack of testicular fortitude insult here>, so this becomes another example to use
while we are on our soap box.
For me though... on this one; Meh.. Franklin was wrong, Grantham was wrong, Richt was
wrong, now just say the right things and move on. We've got much bigger concerns.

wlayton, one thing I think I have learned in my life. It takes two to fight, two to argue.
If I did not say the following, would not be honest to the board, you or myself.
It tickled the spit out of me to see someone with a pair stand up for what many of us think is the best university in the world. This was one incident. NFL had one the next day.
What can be expected from a Red Neck from Coffee County . . . a smile when I know someone has my back. Erk did not have that and it is beginning to look like Grantham will receive the same treatment that Erk received.
Folks like Adams sitting up there high and mighty, Slive going to try and act like the NFL Commissioner acts. Adams and Slive have caused the SEC more problems than are published.
Somehow all of the burned ashes seem to land on the common folk, like Grantham. Yes, I feel that way.
What Richt needs to do I guess, since he is the leader. Sit AM on the bench if he runs the football again. Replace Grantham because he muddies the water too often.
We cannot separate Richt and Grantham, they are on the same sideline. What am I missing?

I'm just glad that the DAWGS came out of that game without a major knee or leg problem. I'm afraid it would have been a much uglier incident if one of the guys had gotten hurt badly. By the way BUC, 28 years in the USN. GO DAWGS!!!!!! BEAT the gaytors! GATA! SIC EM
