Apologize

What really amazes me is that so few recognize that all Franklin was doing comes under "show boating". (Not talking about this board) One of, if not the oldest trick in the book.

Grantham has a job, a specific job and the controversy was about the young folks that he coaches.

Any coach that will show his butt (Franklin) not (Grantham) at several people is classless. He mentioned he could not find Richt, shouting at Shawn Williams, then pointing at Grantham. I am old, but I sure as heck am not blind. I know what I saw on the field, and the press conferences that followed and the words that were spoken.

That middle of the line stance will not produce winners in today's college game. FACT.

wlayton you mention stopping this and start a x and o thread. Below is a thread started by you that blew this board up. One member leaving, and I did not like that. Can't have it both ways.

CTG.....let's start a good thread #1 2 days, 1 hour ago
This should be good.......I'll go first.

Don't know what happened and I don't care.......

As much as I love CTG and his "fire" that we need, what he did last night was totally UNPROFESSIONAL and I just pray that he doesn't get fired for it.

It doesn't matter what Franklin may have said to him, CTG almost started a melee on the field and if somebody had gotten seriously hurt, don't think for a minute a parent etc wouldn't throw a lawsuit at UGA and a big one.

His fire and intensity is great for the team and a needed coaching style vs. CMR but he needs to learn when and where to use it. Adams and McGarity have to be embarrassed by CTG's actions on the field, on NATIONAL TV and you could read everything he was saying.......as a leader of the team and a representative of our great school, he needs to harness his temper no matter what set him off. As an adult, he knows better.

Ok, let's hear the blasting.

Buc.....the thread was about CTG.....not to keep bashing CMR over and over and over and over.......and over.

We all know how we feel about CMR, Bobo etc etc. I wanted to see or "measure" for myself how people felt about CTG in the incident as a representative of our great school.

CTG not CMR on that thread.

But that's the thing, wlayton, I think you got your measure, that most people think Coach Grantham was right, and that they blame Richt for what he did. Alot of folks on this board just don't offer up the simple yes or no type answers that you so often seek. They analyze the situation, and offer their opinion, and sometimes that's different than what some people care to hear.

Hey, that's great, I'm not arguing that ya'll answered my question. Got exactly what I asked for, I'm not complaining about your's or anybody else's opinion on the CTG subject. Got my measurment I was looking for.....guess I should offer up a thank you.

But to address Buc's comment, the thread was about CTG, no mention in the title of CMR....that's all.

Spot on sadler! Some of us are very blunt (it's yes or no, black or white). Others of us, tend to operate in the gray area more often. Nothing wrong with either. In general, I think we just all got so much to say that it sometimes comes out in the wrong way at the wrong place at the wrong time...

Anyhows, I really hope AllDawgs5 doesn't stop posting. I like what he brings to the table here. Obviously, we're all going to disagree from time to time but I think all members of this forum are entitled to their own opinions & this forum, moreso than any other I've found, is full of respectful posters that can "agree to disagree" w/o name calling & childish insults.

As for my take on the postgame theatrics: I still like CTG! He appeared to have assed it up but he felt like he was defending HIS players so he doesn't have to apologize to me. Neither does CMR for doing what he felt was proper in the heat of the moment (not fulling knowing what all had transpired). Hopefully this entire situation will only bring the players & coaches closer together. In all honesty, I think this ugly win can only aid our program in reFOCUSING on how to beat Florida, & then going down to Jax. & taking out years of frustration on them slimy, stanky, swamp lizards! I do think we're all going to see a really fired-up bunch of Junkyard Dawgs in Jacksonville that aren't going to accept losing to their hated rivals AGAIN-SIC EM' DAWGS!!!
