Only stat that matters is W's. I know our winning streak is against crap teams, but I'm not a stats nut to begin with.

Good post Buc but my question to Buck would be...what happens when we play a good pass rush d. UT was NOT. Should AM sit in the pocket then or you gonna turn him loose or send him on some roll outs? you cant expect our O line to hold a pocket long enough for a deep route to develop. they havent proved to be able to do that so far this season. run block is getting better though

Goooooo Dawgs...Sic'em...Woof Woof Woof!!!

Few examples:

last year's whole season....

McElroy at BAMA.....13.45 average (old conservative BAMA)
Relf at MSU.......13.86 (he's terrible)
Newton at AU.....15,42 (obviously good but so is AM's arm)

I'll take 8.3 as long as we are winning and controlling the game like you were talking about though.;)

Couldn't agree more wlayton...the TN game is a perfect example. Stick with the high percentage passing plays (albeit, low yardage producing) and take the occassional shots down field. If he hits on one or two of those a game, we'll see the yds/completion start to creep up to where it needs to be.

wlayton wrote: I believe AM's long ball is a little off because MM is faster than TK. If you've noticed, the long balls he DOES connect with is to MM. Then he'll throw a long one to TK and over throw him. Just a difference in speed between the two.

Also, I'm glad he's not running quite as much, don't need him hurt (I know, I know, he can stay in the pocket and get hurt with our OL).

Now against UF, do ANYTHING to win that game, AM can run 20 times as long as we win.

Well he must have thought he was throwing to TK on that play, because if he hits MM in stride he goes for 6!

I like what I'm hearing on here these days. A well executed short passing game is just as effective as anything else for taking pressure off the OL and sooner or later gets the QB enough time to unload something deep. Combine that with a little better than average run blocking and we start looking real good and confidence builds. I'm really a Bulldog that thinks the mind has a lot to do with your game and I think if we play smart good things will come. Of course it always helps to be REALLY BIG and just beat folks to a pulp. GO DAWGS!!!!!! GATA! SIC EM

The sun shines on a different Dawg every day
