I am a realist, and alwasy will be one. I have ripped bobo many of times. I agreed he has deserved it many times over again. Saturday, IMO, would not have been one of those times. We had guys running behind a secondary, and bobo realized they were not keeping a deep safety. Our WR's had 4 or 5 steps on the DB's. Those are throws that have to be completed. If they are, you get your blow out wins. Keep seeing lsu, and bama. They hit those plays. Hence, the blow outs. I am just not sure how bobo is deserving to be ripped this week. Used the boot play, had designed plays to use AM's legs, focused on running the football, and called plays that should have blown the game wide open. Again, I think after the BSU game, and take out the ole mis game, bobo has not done a terrible job. Do I want him to stay. Not yet, but I am interested to see how the rest of the year plays out.
I saw negative comments about our D, and that was really the reasoning behind the comment. Many believe ut is an explosive passing offense. I felt they were too. We gave up 6 points at the half. Pretty dang good if you ask me. Somehow, we kept a very good passing offense in check. But, we act surprised when they hit some plays. They have a lot of talent on that side of the ball. We wanted Rogers, and Bray is a great QB. They are going to hit some plays. I honestly thought if we held them under 17pts, it would be a great day. We did that. Great job to CTG and that D staff.
It is one game, but I was proud of them. That might change next week. I don't know. But I am going to give the credit for a good win on Sat. Everyone in that locker room knows they need to improve, but it looks like they are. Keep it up, still a long way to go.

Buc wrote: Interesting quote from Richt on the offense. Looks as if Richt is trying to clear the back forty, not taking all of the blame any more. This is how it should be. Beginning to look like the same song and dance that occured prior to WM leaving with his lips sticking out. You wear the title, make the money, stand tall. A winning streak of four does not hurt, but it certainly does not make us world beaters either.
Richt obviously rethought that view this past week. “I wasn’t in the mood to go for it on fourth down last week,” he said, because he “didn’t like what we had prepared.” But in the week before playing the Vols, he said, “we did a good job of putting a plan together. I had more confidence in what the offensive staff put together, so I was more decisive with what to do because I had more faith in what we were doing and how we were going about it.”
You get the idea that maybe the head coach was a bit more involved in the offensive game planning last week.

I just hope anyone who wants to call me a hater can explain to me exactly where the lack of
just cause comes into play. I stand by every thing I've said as being a fair analysis of
the situation.
While my feelings towards some of the coaches have not changed one bit, today I am not
talking about them at all. Today I'm calling out some players. I'm calling out King
for failing to put forth effort on every single play. He made some catches, but he also
ran a sloppy route near the goal line, and he also put zero effort towards a block that
would have sprung IC for a big gain even if it was going to get called back because of
a hold.
I'm also going to call out just about the entire offensive line for their quite offensive
laziness and lack of effort. They are weak, have zero explosion off the ball as noted by
wlayton, and for whatever reason they don't finish blocks. As also noted by wlayton, they
look like they think just getting in the way is actually a block. Multiple times did I
see in striking HD clarity the fact that they disengaged from blocks early allowing their
man to get in on the end of plays, and absolutely no ability or effort made to get to
the second level.
I bet Vandy and Kentucky have better O-lines than we do. With all that weight, ours could
at least occasionally fall on top of someone, but I think they don't because they don't
have the strength to pick themselves back up off the ground. Pitiful.
I think we'll take Vandy, but it's a classic trap game we better not take too lightly.
Coming off this big road win at night... feeling too good about ourselves.. playing a
weaker opponent we should be able to handle.. all that scares me to death. It's a classic
let down week, and we're not good enough on offense to take ANYONE lightly.
