First - CW made a huge mistake. He needs to pay for his mistake. I do not know if a two game suspension is enough. At least he is of legal age, which makes him an adult and responsible for his actions.
Second - Like anyone else who makes mistakes and is truly remorseful, he deserves a second chance. Who are we to cast stones unless we have never made mistakes. I know I have made a few. Now it is up to CW to make things right and be a leader on this team.
That is my 2 cents worth.

Let me clue you in: It looked like Tom Cruise sitting on Oprah Winfrey's couch. Head pats.
Really?????????????????????????/
Really???????????????
BulldogShannon, first off, glad that you are back.
Yes to your question.
Think that I see some of the same things that went on back when Joe Cox was the starting quarterback. Joe Cox in my opinion was and is a true Bulldog. Love the guy. There was a problem, he did not have a leader, he had a friend and I don't mean Bobo. Understand talents and limits involved there, Joe never quit trying even though he was not blessed with extraordinary talent.
Defense did not help Joe a lot. Can't imagine what the problem was. Ok, now I remember, Richt had a friend that ran the defense.
Walsh comes along, rated in the top five kickers in the country. For whatever that is worth. But he was valued by a lot of universities. First thing that the coaches did was start messing with the way the young man was kicking the football. Some problems developed, folks trying to lay the problems at Walsh's feet, and that includes the coaching staff. Great ex-kicker for UGA Rex Robinson came to the young man's defense and pointed the finger directly at the coaching staff. Rex was right. We all know that kickers are a bit "different".
This could go on for a long time, won't do that. Richt is not a College Head Football Coach. He knows that he is in over his head, appears that he is going to try and ride the storm out. He now has Grantham, who he refers to as Todd these days.
There is going to be a breaking point at one time or another and I think it will be this season. Grantham is not going to stand idly by and watch some little league coaches take him and his methods down. Joe Cox would have been how much better with this years defensive team?
Richt says that something, let me say that again . . . . "something" needs to be done to correct the problems the offense is having to this point. Does anyone think that "patting" Blair Walsh is what needs to be done. Heaven forbid we try and convert some of the fourth and one's, why, because we did not make the one on third down.
Not going to call a certain person out on this board, but will say this, all of the above does not give me a lot of confidence in Richt and his decisions. I for one am not fooled by stats from previous years. The here and now in the SEC is not about 10 or 11 years back.
Hope we go into Knoxville and show some of what Alabama showed Florida in the Swamp. Asking too much, hope not. Should win this game by 14 points, on their field.
One other thingy . . . . will Bobo be on the sidelines or in the booth?
Go Dawgs, we have players with talent, can't speak for the other part.

Thanks for the kind thoughts. I have to admit, I really wasn't a huge fan of my nieces' husband, and he wasn't a great person even to her. I don't know if the other woman who was in the car with him survived. So, I hate to admit it, but I didn't shed a tear when he was gone, and I'm told he was NOT nice to my niece. However, nobody deserves to die like that. Hence my apologies to anyone offended by my use of words. It does make me mad that he got himself killed like that, and here is this young man Cornelius Washington trying to make the same senseless loss of his own life.
Think about what a great gift Washington has. With his size and speed (did you see how fast he got that first sack?), he has so much that he can achieve, and his whole life is ahead of him. Instead, he takes a chance not only with his career (his draft stock dropped right there on the spot), and not only with his life, but with potentially your life or mine or someone we love. A two game suspension is light . . . I'm happy for him. And you know what? I'm a little ashamed to say it, but I'll be glad to have him back in time for the Florida game. Yeah, I'll admit that.

Mike Honcho wrote: I know I'm gonna get raked over the coals for this one, especially since you all know that I'm not necessarily on the Richt train, BUT felt I needed to give a voice of reason...It's been over a year since the last arrest, players are holding each other accountable, we're hearing a lot more talk about TEAM and less about ME. This is an isolated event...we're talking about a 22 year old MAN who had the best performance of his life and decided to have a few shots with buddies to celebrate. Granted he was a MORON for driving 90 miles/hour in a 55 zone, but c'mon...how many of us have gone out to celebrate a win at the office by having a few drinks with coworkers/buddies?
So he is only a moron for going 90 in a 55 , driving with a bac of .12 is ok? Are you related to Richt?
Some are wise and some are otherwise !
