Some time back I had asked the question on this board about Bobo and Grantham. Wondered how the two of them would play out coaching on opposite sides of the ball. Below is a blog that I often read, and Mike makes a lot of sense with his scribblings. Breaks the game down in segments that make sense, and back up what many of us think is wrong with the Richt/Bobo style of offense (or lack of). Simply out coached by Boise State. FACT.

Reminds me of when Buddy Ryan went after Jeff Fisher for his fancy, tarted up offense way back when.

The anger I have, has no words to describe. Mark Richt must go! I'm starting to think the only reason he's made it this long is because Adams can push him around. Does anyone else feel that way or am I way out in left field. If that's the case, Adams must go as well. I doubt there is a Dawg fan anywhere that would argue that one.

The religion/character/good christian component is why Richt still has a job. If an objective person separates out all that it is clear Richt would likely have been replaced by now. I am all for good character people. I am one. But you either produce as expected or you get to steppin' out the door. The time has come. I would rather fire Richt and Bobo now and let some grad student run the offense.

Watched the punch the day that it happened. Old Fart!!  Buddy Ryan attitude is what is missing in football, speaking mainly to the coaching side of the discussion. kentdaddy you were calling for Richt's head before duck.

Adams is a lot like that bunch from Ohio State. Think that he has many friends from that section of the country. Adams/Slive have serious roots that can be traced to Ohio State. First Adams, then Richt, flip a coin.

Anyone think that Saban is putting out the same message Richt is? Players seem to like the way Saban coaches SEC football. He get results. Football is football, what I do on my own time does not need to be public matter such as is the custom with Richt and his ventures to South America. Said it before, Richt spend that same amount of time in Detroit, Atlanta and other inner cities that could use the help. Not saying give away programs, saying that when football is not the cause, what is wrong with Detroit and Atlanta . . . . Starting to feel the Jim and Tammy Faye thingy sneaking up on us again.

Folks said sometime back, not going to give Richt any slack. Makes me sick to read the Atlanta Journal and the posts in the sports section about how we should leave his majesty Richt alone. Not me, you want him, we will discuss that as often as you want. Slipped up a short time back and said that Richt seems to have changed his mannerisms toward football. Then what do I see after the Boise State game, Richt smiling and having fun with the press. Sad.

My same thoughts Buc, I get so tired of the no expressions on the side line during a game. They score, or we mess up and no expression. I watched him adjust his head set speaker several times after BS scored, but he said nothing. It is like everyone is living in a fog, CMR and even the players. I read where players were upset for the fans booing, well damn, do the player think they gave 100% effort. They were suppose to be well conditioned and strong, so we heard all spring and summer. I mean, what do these players think, that they can come to UGA for personal gain. I see no team unity, yes Boykin tried to have a meeting a voice leadership, I commend him for that. There is just something so wrong a UGA, I guess the lax leadership CMR has given has just let these players run wild and out of control.

Back in my day, we had bed checks, and of course we did not have cell phones ect. It seems these kids do not want to learn or have discipline I am just at the end of my rope tring to figure what in the hell has gone wrong at UGA.

I'm sure you remenber the old days, how VD and ER made no names give 110%, even with Golf and Donnan, it seem that the players a least gave 110%. We fought hard and surely not that I can remember had problems with the law or alcohol. I guess it is just a new bread of getto high school players now days.

I think after the USC game saturday and the thrashing we will get, CMR will really feel the heat, then after we beat Coastal Car, then lose to MISS nd Miss State, I believe that will be the end of CMR.

duck, you have not changed your stance. That is admired by me. Erased some things that I started to say. In agreement with you some of the time, have one problem, it is not between you and I, it has caused me some problems over the years with folks that thought VD had it going on.

If Goff had not recruited Herschel Walker, he would not have attended UGA. That is the one football player that is the reason VD has a bust on the campus now. That is a damn fact. You and I are old enough for this, three yards and a cloud of dust was VD's m/o.

I watched a lot of talent come through UGA and looking at what is going on with UGA today, reminds me of the same. Sitting in Sanford Stadium when Pat Sullivan and Auburn rode up and kicked our butts. Looking at Richt and Bobo the last couple of years, brings back thoughts of VD and the way "his" offense "always" put pressure on Erk and his defense. I am one of those that carried those season tickets and watched the face of the team I love become what they were then and now.

Whether you or I accept it, and I think both of us do, the game of football is not about 4 and 5 star players. It is about coaching the folks that sign that sheet.

It has been said here many times recently . . . what is going on in Athens . . . . I have my opinion, as do you duck, and I respect your opinion, and you know that.

I know what you mean, I guess what I mainly was refering to was that fact the VD could get 110% out of an average player, kind of like what Perterson is doing at BS. I know most programs go through times, ND, MICH, NEB, TEX, I just don't like to face the facts that we have fallen to a second tier program.

Another thing that eats at me is the players talked about how they were made fun of last year for being dead tired in the 4th quarter. This was a goal for the team to be inshape and win the 4th quarter. I think everyone saw at the end of the 2nd quarter, this team was in worst shape than last year. That is why I have always stated that talk is cheap, show me your results.
