some interesting posts here about the OL. Leads me to think:

Searells comes to Athens with a great reputation--he doesn't get it done; Now, Will Friend comes to Athens and is known as a drive blocking guy--he didn't get it done...

Could it be the problem is the philosophy of the HC and OC, and not our OL coaches?? Does Dicht tell them to "calm down boys, we don't want any of that aggressiveness here."

It has got to be something, we have to top players(or do we) that are big and strong (ha ha) I am just bedazled. I just seems like our 4 and 5 star recruits don't pan out to be good players. I guess I just remember the old days when we had average players, and Erk and Dooly turned them in to good or great players. They had the skill to make an average player give 110%. Do yall remenber the super dawgs, the wonder dawgs, and of course our famous junkyard dawgs. Ah those were the good old days.

I have said it before and will say it again. UGA recruits great athletes for the most part. Very seldom do we have true "football players". We saw a team of "football players" whoop our tails last night. With the right coaching you can make great athletes into those true football players. Not every great athlete makes a good football player though. AM is a true football player. Much of our talent in Athens is flashy, high profile, fast and big play potential. When it comes to toughness, grittiness, hard nosed, GATA "football players" we have few. I can maybe name three or four right now on the roster.


And BTW if Bozo calls another play with a pump fake/double move on 3rd and long with a true freshmen RB to pick up the blitz I'm going to drive to wherever he is and beat him with his little eight play laminated card offensive crap scheme. The call is dumb enough, but with the freshman in there is just asinine!

I'm disappointed in the way we lost. Not that we lost.

Missed tackles, blown assignments, lack of toughness in the trenches, being out coached, pre-snap penalties... not the expectation of a supposed top level SEC program.

I've stewed over this crap all day and just had to put my .02 in.

I'm off the soapbox now and will probably not be back on until this coaching staff and team can show us that they are proud to be GA Bulldogs like we all are.
