You all are "Babies". How about before TV. Radio- Jack Armstrong, the all-american boy, The Shadow, Ranfree of the Mounted, The Green Hornet, etc. Buc you mentioned the "Georgia Brat" ,good old Zeck, but how about John Donaldson, Art Decarlo, Gene Cotton, Harry Babcock, Long John Carson, Johnny Rauch, Zippy Moraco. Not sure of the spelling on some of these names, but loved their efforts for the Red & Black.
As always, GO DAWGS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now we are getting there. The Shadow, Green Hornet, and you probably remember the "Squeaking Door" DawgDoc. My high school coach Al Jeffrey played on the 1946 National Champion Dawgs. Some of us saw it that way.
A quote from the "Bear". High praise coming from Coach Bryant, he saw many great football players in his life span.
Alabama coach Paul "Bear" Bryant said Charlie Trippi was the greatest college football player ever, but Trippi was also a star in professional football and college baseball.
