Good to see the conversation going. Great to see the recruits taking interest. I am eager to see this man child from Yulee in person.

You definitely don't have to sway me on getting rid of Bozo, wlayton--I've been saying that for years. Richt's reluctance to accept the fact that Bozo is an inept moron is one of my main knocks against him. The fact that he has allowed Bozo, along with his other buddies Martinez and Van Halanger, to run the program into the ground is why I have little faith in Richt's abilities to lead.

It is always good to watch sadlerdawg and wlayton discuss Georgia football. Good points on both sides and the discussion always makes me think about what could be or will be. On the sidelines watching two men that understand the game, can't get much better than that.

Muschamp takes the head coaching job at Florida. First piece of business . . . hire a offensive coordinator. Wonder what Meyer thought about that. Urban had lost the coach to Miss State that had allowed him to stick his chest out and move on to ESPN dollars. Single biggest mistake Florida Athletic Director Jeremy Foley made was letting Mullen get away. Mullen leaves and Meyer goes what, 9/4, add to that Mullen kicks Florida's butt. Of course he put a notch on his pistol with a UGA tag.

A lot of folks think that you have to have a big name to be a successful coach. Can't agree with that and can back it up easily enough.

Texas is getting all of the five star athletes that they want, they are like Southern Cal, huge base of athletes to choose from. There is one problem with Texas as I see it, much like what I think I see at Georgia. Head man can recruit, proven point. He has been smart enough in the past to surround himself with coaches that can coach. Now he has lost his coach in waiting, bet here is that National Championships will not come so easily. Lots of money in Texas, but money is not always the answer. Mullen at Miss State is a good example of that.

Richt's achilles heel in my opinion and others on this board is his lack of knowledge when it comes to hiring assistants. In my book Rict gets an F, not stars in that category. Recruiting, Richt gets an A+, five stars. Let me back up on the recruiting, someone or more than one assistant has dropped the ball when it comes to filling holes. Some coaches go for the best athlete, I like recruiting for need. Maybe some of the fault was with Searels, I don't know, we will know more when Texas hits the gridiron.

As far as Bobo, Richt will have to decide whether or not Bobo leaves. Consequences there are not only will Bobo be gone, Richt will follow him. McGarity cannot let this program slide any further, heads will roll.

Great recruiting means nothing if you cannot or do not know how to coach them up. I am sure we are going to see more fire from more than one person this season. Grantham does not need to add any more wood to the fire, he is full of piss and vinegar every day his feet hit the floor. I hope to see that attitude embraced by the offensive side of the ball. Soon these young men will be knocking the hell out of each other, calling each other names and fighting. When the season starts, they will love each other again. That's what I am talking about. :)

I enjoy discussing football with wlayton, as well as anybody on this board for that matter. Wlayton was one of the first folks on this board that I met, several years ago. We have had some spirited debate over the years--we don't see eye to eye on alot of things. But he's still the man!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Hey Yall, Ive been thinking bout this whole situation again. And Im thinking yall are right bout a new OC coming in next season. IMO I think CMR will be here until he he resigns. also thinking that I bet CMR will offer bobo the chance to stay on as QBs coach, not sure if bobo would take the step down but I also think as yall do that no other program will offer him an OC position. So I guess we will see what happens as the yr unfolds. Just cant wait for Kick off. GO DAWGS!!!

Anyone that reads this board regularly knows where most of us stack up when it comes to coaching, whether the offensive or defensive side.

Going to post a site below that I think has a LOT TO DO with UGA FOOTBALL. In the column Olivadotti makes mention first of Grantham and after that others. I have some more information that I will post later on about Kirk Olivadotti, but this old site is good for openers. Kind of like Jacks or better, pot progressive.

I have to believe that Grantham knew what he had in Ogletree and others on that side of the ball. The incoming players even tickled Grantham's ribs. Feel that he knew Drew and others were headed our way prior to Olivadotti signing on.

This is what I FEEL coming from Grantham. He is getting this group of players ready for a (excuse my choice of words) blood letting with SS. Those of you that are going to be able to be there are going to see what I would call a epic battle. That is what football is all about, right? When toe meets leather, I would be surprised if ninety to one hundred thousand folks don't pee in their pants. Spurrier asked for it, Grantham is going to do his best to reward Spurrier with nothing but a little BULLDOG LOVE. Never in my life have I witnessed a chicken whip a BULLDOG. Grantham remembers. As do I.

One last note. I notice that there are a lot and I mean a lot of folks that follow this board. Step up, post, this is not one of those FIRST sites, leave that to the AJC and their folks looking for hits. On this site you will definitely get UGA football talk, and won't be ridiculed like some other sites that I visit. Well, you might if you are one of those gaytors that has a run going on at the present. However, they must remember this, they have fewer wins against us that they like to admit. Only thing they can say is . . . we are CATCHING UP.

Damn, I love football, UGA and several folks that post here.

Go Dawgs . . . . Coach Them Up!! :)
