thriller, know that Boise State lost some players that played a big part in last years success.
While we lost some players, I too have the feeling that UGA is a much better team than we have seen for a while.
Looking at the player makeup, this group has more of what coaches on both sides of the ball say they need. Not speaking solely about the defensive side.
Offensively Richt has wanted and spent much time in Columbus, Georgia after the running back that he needs for his offense. Might be and am guessing, Ealey could see just how good Crowell was and is, so he packed it in. Along with the fact that he did not want to face JTII for an entire year or more.
As far as Caleb, hope he can live up to his "hype". I will certainly pull for Caleb, I am however in a group that just shakes its head and says what a waste of talent he has been. Personally, would thrill me if he makes it hard for IC to take the position away.
From my last post, what I am trying to say is UGA has a lot of talent, we all know and have said that. It also appears that folks outside of the UGA nation seem to think that there is a lot of talent in Athens. That really irks me, not Erks me. Don't want to see any more talent in Athens not being coached up.
How long will this group of coaches remain in Athens, hard for me to say. My personal thoughts are that the length of stays in Athens depends on the men coaching the vast amount of talent that is there.
Do I think that this edition of the UGA football team can win ten games, yes. Do I think that they can run the table, maybe. Should I be pissed if they win less than 10 games, hell yes. It will all come down to coaching. Apparently JTII is doing his job real well, filling those garbage cans up with hard work and effort. Maybe the coaching staff needs to spend a few days in the Dungeon with JTII . . . players would love that. Herschel came to town and participated, anyone else want to show their sincerity and commitment to the football program . . . .
thriller, I think that this linebacking crew (more than 3) are going to be a site for sore eyes. Huge talent behind the bigs. Kwame and John are going to benefit from the backers play, just as the backers will benefit from the big guys. I mention Kwame and John, there are some more dudes that are going to make life miserable for our opponents.
Say it agian, Coach'em up.
