Refreshing

Refreshing was created by averagedawg
Taking my dog for a walk last night and my neighbor came to pet my bulldog.
Long story short, he played at Georgia from 2004 to 2008, Benjamin Boyd.
Started as a walk on, worked his way to a scholarship. He roomed with Matthew Stafford.
A nicer young man you could not meet, polite, respectful, hard working young man.
He reminds me of what college football should be about.
Refreshing.

A walk-on......not a BMOC, all ME recruit.

Yes, nice to hear about those players. I workout at a gym where 2 brothers that play and played LB for Wake Forest come in......outstanding young men as well, always yes sir, no sir etc.....like you say, very refreshing these days to see.

Yep. I think UGA is well represented by these types of young men. I work out the same place David Pollack does. Great dude. Humble.

But we still have some d**ks like everyone else:)

Good guys like Tony Gilbert returning to UGA. This Dawg will be a plus not only for those that follow closely, also for those young men that need guidance from a coach (now) that has been through it all. Good hire by Richt.

Then there are the Reggie Bush's of the world. Said he would return the Heisman Trophy, now has said he will not.

BulldogShannon, guess RB is one of those d**ks you referred to. Brought Southern Cal to their knees and has no damn regrets. Scum bag.

Back to Gilbert, on campus and being around the young folks along with Kirk Olivadotti, should be a tremendous boost for us. Good hire . . . I think.

Sounds like a great hire Buc. My brother saw him in a Publix last year and stopped him to say hello. My brother said he was the nicest guy, took his time and talked for about 15 minutes.

Jax Jaguar's loss, UGA's gain.
