Hope that Richt is right and means it when he says "tote the rock". Herschel carried the football an average of 30.1 times a game. With him and the others on that team, we did win the NC.
Moreno carried the football 19.1 times a game. Talents recognized a year late.
Under our current offensive coordinator we have gone pass happy. Running attempts are way down. Call it what we want, in the SEC you have to be able to run the football. Ask South Carolina if the running game got them "back in the game".
UGA better get the message and build that front offensive wall. Going to see a lot of really good young pass rushers this year.
Crowell does have the wheels to take it to the house, on every play . . . . if he has someone opening holes.

I agree, averagedawg. I sure hope IC really DOES tote the rock as advertised, and doesn't turn out to be another Jasper Sanks or, let's face it, Caleb King. We need a guy who keeps linebackers and safeties up on the line of scrimmage so our receivers can make the corners sweat, and hopefully not drop too many passes.
My biggest fear: the equivalent of Jasper Sanks and Caleb King sharing carries - LBs, SSs and FSs dropping deep because they know our guys never will make it past the line.

Think UGA fans are ready for Boise State in Atlanta? This is a clip that should be on the locker room wall. Stay clean this summer young men, stay close to Coach JTII, he will have you ready for Atlanta.
Georgia has sold out its allotment of 53,000 tickets for the Sept. 3 opener against Boise State in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, according to ticket manager Tim Cearley.
About 3,000 tickets were "re-offered," to season ticket holders on Tuesday and they sold out by mid-afternoon.
