UGA/BOISE STATE

wlayton, appears that we have some folks that have the speed and strength to cause KM a problem or two. It is going to be very interesting to see just how good and how much these players have learned in a short span of time. Play lights out against BS, which I will say again is a better than average football team, spirits should be high for you know who the following Saturday in a real home game.

Notice that Richt is a bit more low key this Spring. Have wondered about some of the other coaches, RG, Lakatos and Olivadatti. Maybe you guys are getting some information, not me, searching everywhere. Maybe this is a sign of things to come, less chatter and more action.

Hope our new conditioning scheme allows us to get after KM, not the the type of thing we witnessed last season.

While I don't like to see all of the injuries that we have now, better now than later. Like the fact that the UGA players are putting their headgear on each other, and making noise. Seems to me that we were, as has been stated everywhere, a bit timid and out of shape in recent years. Coach JT just might be the answer to a team that is say . . . . 6-7 and a team that is ?

Hey guys. its been a while yet again since ive posted. With the move i just went through and getting situated at my new base, and getting married, ive just kinda lost touch with my "other family"

Buc...You mention our guys being out of shape. This has been a concern of mine and a lot of our guys for a while now. I was wondering if anyone listens to the dawgcast? Its a couple of pretty cool guys that have a few "ins" with the program and put on a pod cast. A few weeks ago they had linebacker Christian Robinson on the show. I know strength and conditioning is only 1 of a few worries we all share but he said that camera's have been installed in the weight room (which was thomas brown's idea. he is on the staff now also) they also have mandatory breakfast, lunch, and dinner. all of which they have to have a pic taken. Some guys they dont allow to eat fried foods. They judge everyones meal. they have changed the workout routines a bit among other things. he says its pretty intense. Im not saying that its going to fix all the strength problems but it sounds like a great start! Christian says the o line looks better than he has seen.

I am probably one of the more negative people on this site bc i rout for the best school in the country and i expect to watch the best football. i expect them to win every game. so the last few yrs i have been a big downer due to our performance. Hearing this really gave me a big confidence boost! it really sounds like we have a squad now that really wants to win and will play until the time runs out. sounds like they wont give up. and with a qb like we have...i think we will get it done! i wouldnt trade AM for KM EVER! Go Dawgs!!!

Buc, with Grantham coming from the NFL....... ALL the NFL defensive scheme's is getting after the QB. That's why the rush DE's in the NFL make the big bucks, they are rare and sought after in a BIG way.

Gotta hit KM up to the whistle.......every chance we get. We need to get him to the point of looking over his shoulder, listening for footsteps........and wanting his mama.

Dont forget...we got Kirk Olivadotti from the Washington Redskins (linebackers) also ;)

Thought came to me that not allowing the media and others to see what is going
on with the 2011 edition of the UGA Football Team, I hope that all of us are in
for a surprise. I am on board with this way of running the football team, think
it should have been done long before now. Don't want my Head Coach apologizing
to Urban Meyer.

For example . . . opposing defenses not being able to pickup on what we are
doing on offense. Maybe Bobo has added another play to the playbook, getting
away from the 4 or 5 he usually runs, runs in the same situations, and has done
this repeatedly since becoming coordinator. Maybe Richt is getting totally
involved with the O side of the ball. I know that I would, especially when it
comes to the amount of jack that folks are making these days.

There is no doubt in my mind that Richt's personality has changed. A little more
abrupt, direct answers to questions, short answers for the most part which makes
me think that he truly feels the pressure. Nothing wrong with that, maybe the
pressure will aid Richt in being recognized as more than a great recruiter. From
this corner, I hope he goes back to his days at FSU, calling the plays and
kicking butt. When he coached at FSU, if he (the team) had you down, would go
for the gullet. Ran up some big scores, sent a lot of folks to the NFL.

If anyone reading this post thinks I have stepped over the line, guess we have
different views. I am pulling for Richt, know that he has what it takes to turn
this thing around. Remember this, he started well, made many or most of us
happy, then . . . . . something went wrong.

Along came McGarity and I think that is what we are witnessing now. No doubt in
my mind that after the first meeting between the two men, there were many more
meetings that followed. McGarity came to UGA from UF after a lengthy stay in
Gainesville. He was number two down there for many years, here is betting he
learned a lot and brings his lessons learned to Athens as number one.

Congratulations GaBoi. Glad to see you back.

Richt can be as nice as he wants off the field.
I want him to be one mean sob come gametime.

Welcome back GaBoi.........totally agree with you. Don't care WHO hits him as long as it's hard and often. DE's, LB's, DB's, waterboys (and/or girls), janitors, my mother or my bulldog........ok, you get the idea.....just make him pay.  ;) B)
